Tried everything...then got my disc to show then changed disc and same shit happened. So i hoovered the shit out of it paying attention the the disc compartment for about a minute...Now it works...btw the ps3 slim disc(laser) reader is pretty good so prob isnt anything to do with that...just needs a bloody good clean

@ kalliarnorhylnur , it's your tv , all u have to do is when u put in the game ( the screen will go black ) now with ur tv control switch the channel to a normal tv channel , wait a sec nd then switch back to hdmi , u should see your game now :)

@LAYITLOOSE I have a ps3 80 gig from when they first came out years ago 600.00. I also have two 120 gig slims. I can tell you i have never had a problem with the 80 gig original that will play all games (1,2,and3). Now the two slims have both broken on me. But i have to say it has to do with cooling and maintenance. If you buy a slim spend the thirty dollars and get the external cooling fans and just keep it dust free and it should be fine. I actually have a fan running constantly on mine.

This just happened to me rite now...I put in Batman AC didnt work i tried holding off button on my ps3 to restart and then restore files didnt work! Demo thing didnt work for me either! So i took my disc out went to PS Home and put it back in (when i was in Central Plaza or anywhere works) and started the game launching! U'll know its working if there is a a exclamation in top right screen like this (!) and start game launch, create session, and start game and loaded up game! Hope this helped.

WHAT I DID!!! My disk couldnt be read so i turned if off and turned it on again. It fixed it but then the next time it couldnt read it again SO I tried dowloading a demo then playing it and pressing the ps button. didnt work. SO then i unplugged it and plugged it back in and it worked! Try either one of these 3 steps

What the guy told me from Playstation is that turn your system off with no disc in. Hold the power button but dont let go and let it beep 2 or 3 times(turnd on obviously) then its going to turn off. Do it again Hold it for 3 beeps then its going to take you to a menu where you have I believe 6 options, Press the 3rd option (didnt work for me but some of you should try it just in case this video doesnt help)

Blu-Ray laser Drives cost the guts of £25-£35 and to replace it shouldnt cost more than 20 quid as all it is is using a screwdriver . Its Not a hard thing to do so shouldnt cost that much but make sure to keep the brown circuit board (logic board) that makes it able for your ps3 to recognise the new laser or else you have to remarry the blu ry drive to the ps3
