  • Beautiful, beyond belief.

  • Such a beautiful song. I was watching an old movie :The 3 Sailors and a Girl" and Jane Powell sang this song. The song was one of my favorites in the '50's when I was growing up. It made me nostalgic. I enjoyed this version by Gordon MacRae.

  • Beautiful, reminds me of the past.

  • Handsome man, gone too young.

  • I'm pretty sure Gordon MacRae studied classical voice in Europe in the early 1950s. He had a show on the radio (in America) that featured condensed versions of operettas. He acted and sang with various female singers. One that I can still remember was "Trilby." It featured the famous villain "Svengali." Poor Trilby!

  • Hi, Ruth!--Remember when you told me you liked this song so many years ago?

  • Such a beautiful song. Can't understand why no one else has covered it. MacRae had one of the best baritone voices ever.

  • Beautiful oldie song.

  • Am so mesmerized by his charms........

  • one is mesmerized by charms when you see the character in person. Gordon MacRae has been long dead.

  • Well, Nancy, I see the dilemma with felix.

All three of us like the same music, share the same friends & subscriptions, we should be best of friends.

Felix is, sadly, like my late father. The only feelings that counted were his own and he would actually act mortally OFFENDED if you even mentioned he had hurt your own feelings.

Feelings are neither right nor wrong, they are just part of the fiber of your being.

Felix' feelings are different than ours, but he could be kinder in saying so.

  • What a romantic song!! I love it. it take my soul away..... to paradise. I am a romantic and I love his voice, it is so.... perfect. Why nobody sings like that anymore????

  • I never get tired listening to this very romantic song. Great voice.........awesome singer with a pretty face..............

  • ".....when you appear.... it's spring again.....it's spring..... the first time that we kissed and I heard my heart insist " don't let him go" now that she's found you........".

  • a mere quote of the lyrics of a song does not give proper credit to the uploader who had exerted an excellent effort to put this song together for the viewer's enjoyment.

  • Appreciation of an art is expressed in a thousand ways. What definitely attracts me to a song is its lyrics. The song lyrics is the soul of a song. So THIS is not simply quoting.......I am recognizing and enjoying FULLY the loveliness and excellence of the worth of this song.

  • I still strongly believe that top priority is given to an uploader for an excellent work rather than think about my own pleasure and enjoyment in a song, otherwise it would create a significant degree of mediocrity that ultimately boils down to boredom. . others first before me.

  • The uploader feels delight and pleasure when his viewers demonstrate their utmost satisfaction and enjoyment in his excellent creation. The uploader's top priority is to entertain his viewers and if he sees this has been attained then his feeling of accomplishment for his excellent work has been fulfilled...."for it is in giving....one receives...........".

  • ".........the most amazing things take place.........each time that we come face to face.........there is music everywhere....and they invite us to embrace each time that we come face to face......".

  • I have come to like this oldie song. Thanks for sharing.

  • Terrific! I remember Gordon very well.

He was a wonderful singer who had

    perfect diction when singing.

  • You're right, 12Fegens. He's got a perfect diction when singing...One can take the lyrics with utmost ease.

  • Yes, perfect diction, indeed...along with a phrasing ONLY matched by Rosemary Clooney...these two were/are in a class all their own. Great breathing, and getting the melody right, matchless tone, putting the idea of the tune across....please let me go on for hours. Fairly a lost art.
