  • which of these is faster to 0-60, the automatic with paddle shifters or a 6 speed manual???

  • Comment removed

  • I also have stock 335i sedan auto. its one fast car, 0-60 in 4.8 range

  • What are you talking about? 17 is not the best. I had a loaner and i got 20+ in the city

  • a properly tuned 335i can jump an e90 m3, and I've seen it before... but the 335i got reined in by the m3 near top end

but I've also seen another video of a chipped 335i vs an e90 m3 and the m3 pulled several lengths by the time they were doing about 110

  • ok weirdo. why you did a write up on the 335i on this video i have no clue why. but anyway, i have a 2009 e92 m3, this is my sisters car, the 07 335i. and who gives a shit about mpg. my x5 (see video) gets like 10 mpg city. if you have to worry about mpg, then go buy a honda.

  • If i worried about gas mileage I wouldn't own a 750Li...

    or a range rover sport...

although my a4 does get good mpg

  • ok then thats nice for you kid. maybe go do unrelated right ups somewhere else from now on ok

  • I test drove the e92 m3. fantastic car with the dct box which has better gearing than the 6spd.

  • just chipping alone isn't going to make your 335i hang with e90 m3's. also "hang" is so vague a description,

does that mean that e46 m3's and 335i's "hang" with eachother since they have ismilar acceleration figures?

  • the torque curves on these cars makes for great standing start acceleration from a dig, but better gearing and broader torque curves with more usable revs make the e46 m3 a slightly better car for all around track performance at least

in a straight line though e46 m3 vs 335i is a near dead heat

  • the mpg on the 335's are poor compared to its naturally aspirated counterpart n54 engines in the e90 330's. they turbo's don't run very high boost, but enough to drop mpg figures down to 17 city... which is average at best and poor for a car of this size and weight

  • they are designed to spool up very quickly anyways, and with brake boost, ull probably just end up with a bit more wheelspin than you want from a normal launch

  • brake boosting isn't going to change ur 0-60 figures much, you may save yourself a tenth at most because of the design of the twin turbos

  • I love getting this as a loaner, soo much fun. but i almost got pulled over as soon as i left the dealer

  • ahahaha nice nice

  • umm and i would know that how? e46 3 series don't compare, even the e90 330i. the 335i tops the e46 m3. and the chipped 335i's can hang with the e90 m3's.

  • how does this compare to the 2005 e46 330i zhp performance package? speed? handling?

  • sub 5 seconds...nice

  • thanks man as soon as i go back home ill post a video doing the brake boosting as well

  • dude, that was a very impressive acceleration. 300 hp right?

automatic... who cares only morons would talk shit to you about that, as long as it is fast...

    keep up the good work.

  • which do u find faster, the 335 or the z?

  • in a straight line the 335 and z are similar from 0-60 but i know if it was a stick like the z then i would feel a bigger difference because i could launch it better. however from 60 on the 335 pulls like hell and embarrasses the z in my opinion

  • which one handles better?

  • you feel less body roll and such in the z but the z's back end liked to come out a lot, one because i didn't have traction control on it and also because theres not much weight back there. but the z has a better steering feel than the 335

  • whats this car like on fuel thinking of buying one

  • it's actually really good

  • it was in ds mode

  • use the DS or manual mode. It shifts faster that way too.

  • if ur wondering why u should do this, not only does it load everything but it loads boost. :) good luck. btw depending on ur temp by where u live, u can modulate the throttle from 1500-2k rpm to get traction.

  • thanks for the tips man will post a follow up doing this soon

  • nice video... try brake boostin or launch controlling to 2k rpm. take all traction control off, hold dtc for 5 seconds, hold the brake down hard, put it in DS, give gas until the rpm goes to 2k and than let go of the brake and ur off. u will see a big difference in 0-60 times.
