  • Wow i thought you asians were ahead of the times, even back then. No hi def camera??

  • Being let loose here as a kid was fukin awesome.....Death park basically no rules coz teenagers Wer n charqe

  • 1994 was a damn good year lol

  • 0:49 thats my favorite guy :D

  • @1:46 Ann Wilson! thumbs up if you like!

  • He's about 400 years old, so yeah it seems to be working...

  • What's up with that one guy, does he think the camera'll steal his soul?

  • they probably died

  • Those cars were ridiculously fast. Back in 1996, I was like 17 and barely knew what I was doing. The Alpine Slide I can remember getting off that thing saying, "Damn, I felt like I could have easily flew off the track". Spaceshot was awesome, being shot up in the air 200'. And that neverending water slide with pools and stuff was memorable. Fun park. Is it now Mounatin Creek?

  • @misterdrum78 Yes, it is.

  • the only safe thing there was the vollyball court

  • @UnitedWeStand4EVR no sarcasm, this park was a dream come true. you could get badly hurt on everything. the speed slid was taller than any ive seen anywhere and it went completely vertical. the water slapped you back so hard that you could only ride it maybe twice.

  • a better america, where you could go somewhere, have fun while probably getting hurt, and not bitching about it and suing.

  • Tracking.....classic.

  • I was one of the fortuneate people that got to ride the looping water slide at action park. my freind went on and did not have enough momentum to carry him through the loop. he got to the top and slammed onto the bottom of the tube. he was quite upset as you can imagine, THIS WAS THE GREATEST PARK ON EARTH. there wasn't one ride that you couldn't get seriously hurt on.

  • Oh, the 90s. I miss 'em, and wish I would have been able to go to Action Park before it closed.

...Granted, I would have been about five years old when this was filmed, but still.

  • @unvanquishableone Lol I know your being sarcastic

  • Wow, that Slingshot sounds ricketey as hell! I like how the old ones used a big ass clamp arm to hold the pod down while the bungee cords tightened. lol

  • i love how at 3:27 you can hear someone scream "you're gonna die!" in the background hahaha

  • Damn this place used to rock!!!

Mountain Creek is pretty cool, but nothing close to what they had going at action park!!!

Better be able to walk up some big ass hills to get to the good rides=)

Great place to check out some Milfs 2!!!

  • AWW this place is awsome I wish I could have gone on the looping water slide or the alpine slide at death speed!! lol legendary place for sure

  • Thanks!

  • does anyone remember why it was called TRACTION park??

    I CERTAILY DO!!!

  • Man, this place is legendary. I wish I had a chance to go there before it shut.

  • Just be happy you didn't I heard this place killed a bunch of people!

  • I know it. Thats what makes it so legendary.

  • If people didn't die, it wouldn't be so popular. It was actually an intentional marketing scheme!

  • it didnt shut now its called mountain creek and the rides are much better. i live in vernon and go there during the summer

  • wheres the video moron

  • You. Are. Hero.

  • Man, this is a great video of the great times that will never, ever be duplicated.

  • It was closer, cheaper, & more fun than Six Flags Great Adveture!!! As a kid in 1980's NYC, I loved recount all my trips down the Alpine Slide! Beer + Dangerous un-tested rides = Awesome 80's & 90's fun! "(MIA) MISSING IN ACTION PARK"

  • does anyone have any footage of the imfamous looping waterslide?

  • those noobs are lucky to be alive

  • They're lucky to be alive, haha.

  • Accident Park

  • this video is strait 1994. NJ effing ROCKS! and i remember that death loop, fat kids getting stuck and them having to open up the top.

  • @JumpStop1 did you ride the death loop? i always wanted to but i wasnt aloud. If u did, what was it like?

  • @360123man nope i never had a chance to. my parents had their sanity and i too was forbidden

  • i take it the looping water slide is not there anymore lol

  • the park is defunct

  • Now is this park still as unsafe as it used to be? I know they kept some of the rides

  • It will neither be as unsafe nor as awesome as it used to be. I'm proud to have survived multiple trips.

  • @AtomicPower i survived one trip when i was 5 and it was amazing. but i didnt get to go on the double black slide ride i wasnt tall enough but i did the aeriodum or w.e and everything else lol

  • i know its been closed since 1998.... but what happened to the property itself? is the slides and all still there or was it torn down?? some 1 please gimme some feedback...

  • Action Park in now called Mountain Creek Water Park...

  • mountain creek is still awsome everyone go if you likeed action park

  • how could someone have liked a death trap?

  • well its not like that now its an amazing ski resort with the biggest terrain park on the east coast

  • oohh wow!that looks ace!cool video!lol

  • The slingshot looks so dangerous & scary as shit. How I wish I could have gone there..

  • The music and mullets are sooo mid-90s Jersey. This is hilarious!

  • I know! That's what makes is so awesome.

  • Man that slingshot is sick, I've been on one before

  • yeha I was born late too. I would have loved to go. My dad went to Action park and he got burned on the Alpine Slide and his other friend broke his thumb. I would have loved to go though.

  • Me too, I was like 4 when this place closed. I would have lovvvvved to go too!

  • Too bad I was born too late. I would have loved to go just to watch the accidents. I hear that crashes were a frequent source of entertainment on the alpine slide. Also, on the Colorado River Rapids, few people have ever seen the non-tunnel section of the fork in the middle of the ride. They have gotten stuck at the end, though.

  • I LOVVVVVVEEEEEEEEEEE action park best memories of my life

  • Action park was closed down after several deaths from poor engineering and bad employees

  • oh goshh traction park!

  • Would have loved to have gone there....

  • i went there when i was like 4or 5 i think. back in the early 80's

  • i love action park.

  • me 2

  • i love action park.

  • I was born in 1989 so I never got to see it really... I only just heard about it last week, I read about it in Weird NJ, it looked fun...

  • Went MANY times, hurt a few, had no idea of it's violent history which I read about at Wikipedia

  • and deadly

  • Action Park is fun

  • man i miss action park.

  • man u don't miss action park as much as me I wanna go so bad
