They don't make adverts like that anymore. Maybe if they did i'd actually watch them. Makes me wanna go out and buy the game of life and the manta force right now. Pitty you can't really get them anymore :-(
I was about 7 years and nine months old at the time and among these adverts is 'My Little Pony' which I think was also a late 1980s animated series. It was once shown on ITV1.
HAHA I had that Barbie. I remember getting it for Xmas and within ten minutes spilling teh ENTIRE contents of the perfume bottle on the floor. Classic!
Fuck!!! I had the Pretty Perfume Barbie..she was so cool and she came with that nice smelling perfume and pink dress which she could wear long or short...I got her for Christmas in 1988 when I was six :D
I have no particularly fond memories of any of these ads, really, although I was a child at the time ... one thing's for sure, these ads are for the most part far more alien to those of eight years earlier than current ads are to those of 1999.

Hey kids, 'HAVE A BABY!!' I remember my brother and I cracking up at that.
Manta Force and Starcom? Manta force were the cheapskate Starcom, which is probably why I liked it.
