@operagirl81 Nope, that is impossible. Sarah Brightman is Christine. She did it perfectly when she was actually in it. (Now? Not so much) The role was written for her... Andrew Lloyd Webber knew what he was doing and writing... I mean they were married. Even though it was not written for him, Michael Crawford will forever be the one and only Phantom for me. :) So sexyyyy ^.^ Is it bad that I would take M.C.(from back then) in make-up without the mask on over any boy? Never mind my fan-girling.

I have NO idea why people are freaking out on this video about the Phantom "closing on the West End." It's not, and whoever started the rumor I am ASHAMED of you! >:( Phans will NEVER let this show close because, as the slogan says, "Eternally your's..."

It is John but Christine was played by Trista Moldovan when I whent in Minneapolous I was soo exicted to see a broadway musical (my favorite) and then I learned I was gonna see a broadway actor that was the icing on the cake but then John was probably sick that day so I saw his understudy who was amazing

Not broadway yet, but it's "Taking a break " on the West End. Broadway might do the same thing when the show comes to America.

@CaptainIchabodRainy9 OF COURSE THEY ARE NOT TAKING A BREAK. they have been running for 20 years on Broadway and i just saw the show 2 days ago and they are still running as strong as ever. The tickets have been going like theres no tomorrow and the lines are endless for this show.

The national tour is amazing. The stage production is defintely better than the movie.
