@AbflugSupra Thats why you arent cancelling the focus attack the right way. What you need to do is press forward then focus attack then forward again. This way you dash cancel faster than pressing focus attack, forward, forward. I was stuck for weeks and couldnt connect last part. After i learned to dash cancel this way i managed to connect the ultra a lot.

Hey if someone is having problems with the links in 4 ( the c.LP to c.HP) just do c.lp -> c.mk -> hadoken -> FADC -> c.HP Heavy Shoryuken etc or if you can't get the Shoryuken after the c.HP just do c.LP -> c.HP -> Hadoken -> FADC -> Heavy shoryuken etc. I found that it help'd me alot. Same thing to the c.MP to shoryuken in trial # 5 just do c.MP hadouken fadc shory. :)

for anyone having trouble FADCing on the xbox controller all I did was switch focus attack to the B button so that way I could focus attack faster then quick to dash forward or backward depending on the combo. Im stuck on the 4th Hard trial but im getting closer to doin it

for trial 5. pratice the heavy shoryuken cancel. then look at the time that dans in the air. jump forward then do spin kick quick and pull it off. keep trying that. if that won't work. go to training. set the character to jump practice ex spin kick in the air and ultra. and you got it

So remember on the hard shory. focus attack to cancel the shory on the second hit, then das forward as quick as possible. I kno for you pad players, its pretty hard, but you need to dash really quick. then pop the medium shory

you should be hitting that medium shory, when dan is in the peak of being airborne. and then an easy ultra

I am on a sanwa stick, so YES, its is MUCH easier to do shorys....

but the trick to this is to dash cancel quick after the SECOND hit in the hard shory

yea I have a question, I play with ps3 controller and I finished the first 3 but i'm having trouble doing the crouching fierce punch after the crouching light punch, any tips on how to do it successfully instead of just trying over and over?

this is the hardest part of the combo.

you should get to the point where you can do everything starting from the fierce punch to the end successfully about 1/3rd of the time, then just jump over and over again, and if when you finally connect the fierce you have a decent chance of finishing the rest. If it gets to hard just stop playing and come back later, you will find it a bit easier each time.

Wow, that made it so much easier. I skipped the standing jab, but the input from the crouch fierce to hadouken is so much more consistant. I was able to pull it off in a matter of minutes after I read your post.

My problem with most these combos and a good example being the last one is that they arent practical at all. In a real fight you wouldnt one: do something with such a small room for error and two who the heck would burn 3 ex bars to get to a severly weakened ultra due to it scaling down. Let alone not hitting Kens ultra for full anyway. Neat trials but completely impractical

I just found Ken's to be ridiculous. They aren't impossible but they aren't worth doing if they dont even lead to any sort of different combination you might want to pull off in a real match

easiest way i did the 5th trial was after the MP i did a hadoken Focus cancel heavy srk cancel jump str8 up and the rest much easier after hadoken cancel than srk

When you pull off a Hadoken or any move or just a punch or kick. Press MP MK (aka focus) and it will turn your character yellow making it EX focus. To cancel EX focus. press forward or back. Try it out.

It's pretty easy to pull off. it's just the timing. What you do is do heavy shoryuken then cancel after gets hit twice by it before ken gets off the ground. Move forward and fast. jump then spin kick EX. ultra and your done. You can practice alot with EX shoryuken. Then when your done practicing you can try it with heavy and master it like i did. i start with Ex Then on heavy then master. so i got Trail 5 thanks to practice. No arcade stick. wish i had one though.

@cycloidp Let dan take 3 hits with the heavy shoryuken. Cancel quick and be sure that you jump and spin kick quick. practice that about 50 times and then get it into the ultra. and bam. you'll have it in your hands in no time

As soon as you jump to connect the first High Kick, keep your pad pressed on down+forward (diagonal), that way you will only need to do a hadouken motion to get the shoryuken going after the high punch or mid punch...

i do not know if you have beat it yet but i just did last night. btw 4 is way harder that 5 and what i did to get the 4th one is learn the timing of light to hard and then learn how to go from crouching hard to shoryuken without the super consistantly then if you get that far in the combo after the fdac from strong shoryuken do the dash and meduim shoryuken and ultra the fastest you can witout messing up. and the trick for 5 is get it so you can jump forward instead of straight up for the tatsu.

medium kick + medium punch = focus attack will trigger, then double tap either forward or backwards (to dash) and it cancels it... thus the name ex focus cancel.

btw this takes up 2 ex bars.

so hold them both down, and whilst holding double tap forward/backwards. you can do it quickly so hold and double tap straight away to cancel into any other combos..

sit down and read the booklet. it has everything in there.
