  • Thanks for subscribing to my channel.! I was thrilled to flip to your channel and see a tutorial on homemade glitter mist spray. I have heard of it, but like you can't get it in the local craft stores. Now I'm going to go give it a whirl! Thank-you.

  • Does any one know what that water solution was in the beginning? Water color?

  • what are the small tint bottles called?

  • OMgosh you must live where I live! My michaels NEver has anything and joann's is super tiny! LOL

  • Yes it is pretty; thank you for sharing!

  • Haha you are so funny! I laughed out LOUD as you were filling the little Holtz bottle. You cheered me up on a lousy day and I just subscribed to your channel too :) Gonna check out the rest of your vids now!

  • What and how did you make the glittery object shown here that you mention as "the lovely flowers" and the "water stuff" used from the day before?

    LL

  • Im glad I found you !! I wonder if you live near me because I went to craft 2000 today and they knew nothing about anything I was talking about and had neer heard of glimmer mist for one thing

  • Thanks for your video. It helps

  • thank you so much for sharing this.....you made scrapbooking a not so expensive hobby after all

  • I'll be trying this technique. Love glimmer mist, but it can get pretty expensive. Great video. :)

  • hobby lobby sells a lot if there is one by you

  • I'm so happy to have found your tutorial! I love your homemade glimmer recipe..the commercial stuff is beautiful but sooo expensive.

Your video kept me smiling & gave me a few chuckles too! I love that you recycle packaging.. I'll be hanging on to my cereal boxes from now on! Great idea to use it for mini books!

    Thanks sooo much! Take care!

  • omg you are soo funny i use all the recycle cardboard also lol

  • hi roxycar11,i went to thank you for sharing ,money is pretty bad now so i have to make my homemade stuff myself,so thank you!!!

  • can u use food coloring instead of re-inker?

  • Thanks for sharing!=]

  • Thank you so much for sharing this tutorial. I don't have a scrapbooking store at all in the little town we are in that sells any of the glimmer mist or stickles or anything. I'd have to drive 3 hours. TY TY so much!!

  • Great tutorial - thanks so much. I'm in the same boar here in upstate New York - Michael's and Joann Craft and Fleece. The closest actual scrapbook store in the state is 35 miles away and they don't carry Glimmer Mist at all. Oh for an Archivers!! Thanks again - I'm certainly going to use this.

  • so, what exactly does glimmer mist do?whats it for?

  • @meisjaj it colors makes a shimmering affect on your scrapbook stuff -

  • @meisjaj it colors makes a shimmering affect on your scrapbook stuff -

  • I love your videos:) We can't get much here only 6 colors of Distress ink and a few other things. We only have one craft store here. I may be able to get the ink in the bottle from a Danish online store, but I'm not sure of the powder you used. What is it called?? I wouldn't mind having a Michaels or what you call it, here:)

  • @MissWitchiepoo where do u live

  • I have NEVER used glimmer mist. Just never saw an example of it here in my little northern Alberta Canada town, that I liked. I'm going to try making and using it now though. Thank you so much for posting!

  • Wow, just found your video, can't wait to make (try) my glimmer mist.

    Carolyn

  • I liked the black flower in the beginning. Can you show how you made it?

  • Thank you for the tutorial. What mica powders are you using? Also, does it does it matter what re-inkers you us?

  • how did u make the flower.

  • Love your vds...I have Stampin Up stamps, and they are mounted on EZ foam mount, I was wondering how you store your stamps, Love the way you put the design of the stamp on the acrylic or plastic that you use. tried to find a way to ask on your blog, would appreciate a tutortial on how you store your SU stamps. Thanks Diane

  • Thank you for this tutorial. I bought the mica pigments (which are just sitting in a drawer right now) and this is a great way to use them.

  • Thank you for showing this. I have gum arabic - but glue??...I'm on it!! I think some of the scrap booking stuff is soooo expensive - so this is right up my alley.

  • Roxy sorry the actual question was supposed to be can I still get it or is it no longer available? Duh!

  • Hi Roxy question the stamp set on your desk who makes them. I love that skull would love to get that set if you could help me out with the name thank you. Great tutorial.

  • so pretty.. I need so of the powder

  • GREAT video!! I heard that little "beep" and thought it was MY phone or something? going off..hahaha...HAPPY to have found your videos! Looking forward to watching more...take care!!

  • You don`t need to add glue if you use perfect pearls because they come with a bonding compound mixed in that reacts with water :)

  • I have a question about homemade glimmer sprays. Will Pearl Ex and white glue work a well a Gum Arabic to keep mica from coming off when it dries? Did your homemade sprays come off at all on your project when it dried? Thanks Rosanne.

  • i dont understand it, none of my stores have re-inkers... ugh!

  • you can make your own glimmer mist using pearl ex powders, re inkers or food coloring, and hair spray as your binding agent. they really shimmer

  • Glimmer mist is a rip off. I can't believe people actually spend almost 7 dollars a bottle for it. Thank you for this great tutorial.

  • You are a woman after my own heart! I like to mix up my own concoctions too. It makes our work unique. Love the flower videos too. I have already made some!

  • Thank you. Glimmer Mist $6.99. Home made Mist( PRICELESS!!!) I went out to Micheals with my 60% off coupon and bought some perfect pearls and now I have 12 different colors for about $12. You are the best luv u chick.

  • This is cool idea. I will have to try it out. TFS. Where can you find the re-inkers?

  • Your not going to believe, I actually tried to use that shiny powder make up instead of the mica powder, lol.

It sort of dissolved too much....(the make up)

But my next trip to Michael's I will be grabbing some more sturdy glimmer making products. :D

  • Yummy! And I have reinkers! Thanks so much for sharing this!!!

  • OGM you are a genius!!

  • HAHAA. this is very good && also funny. the beeping and the messy stuffs. geez. LOL. ahaha. thanks! I enjoyed watching this~ Thanks 4 sharing! :D I want moree~ :) I mean WE WANT MOREEEE~!! :D

  • I see people in commentshave used there pearl Ex. is that the same a mica powders. I have a bunch of Pearl Ex I need to use up.

  • Stunning! Thanks. We live in UAE and also no suppliers here for that!

  • I agree.. my Micheals... Well it SUCKS for scrapbooking... I love this video b/c I cannot find ANY glimmer mist in Canada. Thank-you Roseanne!!

  • I love this idea!! Such a good idea!!

  • I tried your recipe-it worked great... I used alcohol instead of water though. Only problem came after pouring it into the mini mister. I was so proud of myself for pouring and not spilling it too! I guess I got too excited because I accidently set the full mini mister bottle onto the remaining mixture and of course...you know it...I spilled it. It went down my leg and onto the carpet. I tried everything to get it off..no luck yet! But it did turn out beautuful! Thanks for the recipe :)

  • It'd also be cool to have Roseannes Glimmer spray in a kit just as a bonus thing! hahah. :)

  • I use Pearl Ex, a little Gum Arabic (found in the water color section in the store) and water. I love being able to get another use out of my Pearl Ex and it is WAYYYY cheaper than Glimmer Mist!!

  • Omg, lol. I was watching the video and heard the beep and was looking EVERYWHERE for the beep! I checked my cel phone, my cordless phone, my printer, lol. Then you said it was coming from the camera I felt like a dork, lol.

Are you adding the drops of glue to act as a binder? I know pearl Ex for example you need to add something like gum arabic or something as a binder usually. Thanks for the video it was great =)

  • hahaha thats funnyyyy :D

  • Hi err other than Mica powders can i use perfect pearls?

  • Hello.....I use alcohol ....instead of water when making my spray. Dries quicker works great. I also use metalic acrilic paint.

  • The inks you use for your mist, they are not alcohol inks are they? If not what are they used for? you say to use Mica powders. I have a LuminArte iridescent Mica powder in gold, well that work. Can I buy the inks at maybe Michaels, or where do you get yours. I might just like to get one bottle and try. Thanks for your help. I am excided to try..

    O
