seriously, it was an ending that made sense. tony wins, phil leotardo dies, and life goes on in his world for both his families. what did people expect? some kind of parade like at the end of star wars? come on.
@petermatthew27 ya i agree it was emotionally not there, but think about it. thats what death is, when you die, theres nothing. this series was about death, glorifying it as if there would be some dramatic ending, but there wasnt. its from tonys perspective, the audience is tony, when you get shot, you dont even hear it coming before your dead. you can rewatch all those whacks, but when your killed, its ETERNAL BLACKNESS. it really was one of the most haunting endings ever once you understand it
For anyone who hates The Sopranos ending you are used to having stuff handed to you on a silver plate, the ending of The Sopranos is the 2nd greatest ending ever to Six Feet Under. 2nd Greatest Ending Ever from The Greatest Show Ever.
@TonyMaster007 well, were used to getting the cream filling inside every Twinkie bite. Chase did something different and imho refreshing. Theater is a creative endeavor, so we should be OPEN to plots and endings outside the norm. I think some ppl have hissy fits because they haven't realized this fact.
This episode looked nuts..but it turned out to be a POS, idc what people say how it was tony's death or w/e the fuck bs theories you thinking of..it was a cop out and david chase pretty much said "fuck you all ha ha" i watched this show since the beginning and expected a insane dramatic shootout or something not a black screen for 20 seconds.
dude.... sopranos ending was great.... tony got killed... it ended with jouney singing "stop"and went black. thats death. it went black because death doesnt let you see you wife crying or the funeral or whatever. death is just an end and i think the end of the last epidode portrayed it very well.

I know cerebrally it was a decent ending, but just not emotionally satisfying- for me. This is an opinion. I'm not debating.
