@TheStreetfightercody Read the Manga, after that fight; they basically never fight again. Sendo and the rest of Ippo's past opponents are basically his biggest fans (They all still fight mind you)
@DRCsyntax well ippo dosnt do much fighting either it basically starts focusing on itagaki... the worst character ever... and kimura and aoki become useless characters... and surprisingly even takamura... good call on ending the anime when they did... it just isnt all that good after the point the anime ends
@afoninja121 Uh, no. Ippo gets destroyed in most of his fights. Anyone that knows about fighting knows that some fighters only fight once a year. The story has always done a good job of spreading the attention. I don't really like Itagaki either, but that doesn't mean the manga isn't still awesome; because it is. I'm actually slightly nervous whenever Ippo goes into a fight, because you know he has to lose sometime. They never make our favorites invincible, which is why this manga rocks.
@DRCsyntax i mean yea he still fights but not like how he used to at the begining of the series he has still a good amount of fights and even though he does get destroyed his are always the best gfights and yea they do spread the attention better than most animes but at some point kimura and aoki which were hilarious just became pointless their fights became total jokes and they werent even that funny any more and takamura just dissapears for half of the manga after the anime ends which is
@DRCsyntax just kinda rediculus but w/e im not saying i dont like the manga but it is just 3 times better at the begining up till the part that the anime ends (just hated the fight with the monkey dude if your caught up... thought that fight was just ippo getting smacked around for the first three quarters of the match and him getting lucky lol)

That's why in the fight against Kojima, it may been short, but the old man comments specifically on Ippo's ability to recover at such a weird angle, he's building Ippo's technique rapport subtly instead of just cramming it down his throat. That fight also proved that both Ippo and Woli had a lot to learn about boxing. What i dont like is the random headaches Ippo suffered after the fight. Sad ending in the future?
@DRCsyntax true maybe he might have to retire but i am hoping we get to see ippo take on ricardo at one point it should be ahppening once he finishes taking on the champions =( but yea i actually liked the kojima fight even though it ended quick lol although i just dont get why they would consider him two weight classes above when he had to reduce his weight so he is a featherweight... therefore his power of the higher weight classes would be gone
@TheStreetfightercody I think the manga was trying to tell us that Sendo's mistake was trying to beat Ippo in Power, which Ippo's entire style is based around. That's why Ippo had trouble against people like Vorg, Miyata and Mashiba, who mostly focus on technique rather than power.
