I believe your referring to the overlaying brush strokes, it's all about the layer blending options. I think i explained it in this video, maybe it was to brief. Oh, and maybe your talking about the brush strokes below the text? That's just on a lower layer.

Stop whining guys. For one thing, it's his first tutorial. That aside, he took the time to do this tutorial to teach you stuff you don't know. It's not even that hard. Just listen and practice. Most of learning Photoshop is experimentation by yourself using what these guys have taught you. If you guys don't have the patience to do that, then you should stop working with Photoshop and go back to Paint.

I have two links in the description to the ones i used. You go to them and download them, and installing them may be different depending on what version of photoshop you have. I'm sure you can look it up if you know what version you have.
