@WYJAFAK2 Rem wrote both L's and Watari's names down, but couldn't write Light's. Because despite how Light had manipulated it so that the only way to save Misa would be to have Rem die, even calling Light the Devil, Rem couldn't kill Light because Misa was in love with him. Both Jealous and Rem died simply to make her happy/prolong her life, and Rem knew that Light makes Misa happy, which worked into a great advantage for Light.

And that plan would've worked if it weren't for L's genius lol.

He just pretended to die in this scene to make Light drop his guard, and this gamble led to L's win at the cost of his own life. The 3rd movie tells the story of what he does with his remaining lifespan.

@evildragful I was actually referring to the movie version where L dies after Light. I said he succeeds in tricking Light by writing his own name in a death note before rem can kill him. This scene is L acting as if he has died, rather than him actually dying. The movie version has L die at the end of the 3rd movie after defeating Light in the 2nd. In the manga and anime version of the story, L still dies and it is Near who finally defeats Light.

I love Mello SO much now, that I changed my Near fanfic I was writing so that Mello was a huge character, and even one of the angles in the love pentagon (with an OC, not Near; I freakin hate the MelloxNear pairing). :P

The reason for Misa's hair is quite simply that they tried it and she didn't look right with blonde hair (although I still don't get why Rem sounds like a guy).
