  • this seems pretty legit to me. idk how people could be mad at this video. it explains very well the basics that should be tought in our schools not once have i heard something like this in college or highschool. thats a problem isnt it?

  • Socialism and Communism are two very distinct ideologies - socialism has the most government while Communism has NO government. We just get confused by the affiliation of communism with the USSR, when they really never reached that stage.

Secondly, monarchy or autocracies can be run by a single dominating figure, even if he is ADVISED by those who surround him. Think about Stalin's dictatorship - he excercised total control, his advisors were yes men, mere administrators of his decrees.

  • "The House of Representatives shall be composed of Members chosen every second Year by the People of the several States," - article 1, section 1

yep, sounds like democracy to me.

nice mischaracterization of anarchy btw. pick up a book sometime and read some anarchist theory. the best way to boil it down is non-aggressive, voluntary association between individuals.

  • A Constitutional Democracy is a Republic, morons. This propoganda is used to stifle the voice of the masses. President Ron Paul? Lol. Funny joke.

  • "Democracy" is a ridiculous concept, WHY should someone be allowed to vote just because they were born and have a pulse?

Stupit fuckin' retarted douchebags who sit on their ass and collect welfare GET TO VOTE?

    Fuck that.

  • You all have either go with the flow and die here or vote Ron Paul and Liberty and Freedom!!!

  • I said a year ago they would use propaganda to go into Syria, Then Egypt. Its all Propaganda to steal all the natural resources in the world. With Britain setting up al-kaida In Lybia @ stealing thier, oil. We hadn't heard from Moamar Kadaffi sinse Reagan. Now he's dead. This is why our troops support Ron Paul @ want to come home.We took the Iraqi oil @ set up a base there bigger than the Vatican. Now Iran too, the charges against Assad are base just propaganda media machine Ron Paul

  • This is a gross misrepresentation of political theory. The anarchist straw man is the worst of it. The only dichotomy this analysis got right, is the continuum from no government to total government.

  • neat video. but in fact it contains various historical errors.

hitler didn't get power by anarchy. he used flaws in the system of the existing republic to empower himself. in the end he was voted by like 41% of all germans, using the flaws he was able to make himself to the president of everything. first the people accepted it since they didn't know what it would lead to. and after they realized what goals he really had it was to late, you only could choose between go with the flow or die.

  • @masiminder Yes he did he bombed his own country to start the war machine and propaganda ..read the rise and the fall of the 3rd riche

  • So what if the man behind the making of a law proceed in making the law so as they or others related to them benefit from it.

If if was not for democracy how is it every western civilization has a representatives elected. Elections are based on democracy, it is the majority that decides who must take care of the country under the law.

From a theoretical point of view this video is accurate, however each of those powers are actually based on each other, republic cannot exist without democracy.

  • @TheBlackSkipper the laws have to go through the filter of the constitution. and they must be voted on unanimously. a lot of bs laws would never see the light of day. honestly, not sure where you live but do you feel FREE? maybe what you are advocating is a democratic republic....i watch this video and i look at the usa and what he is describing is happening right now in america. the executive orders taking away freedoms, the economy about to tank...its scary...

  • This is a small and narrow "us vs. them" interpretation of political/social realities that ignores economy and history. Lumping fascists together with communists because they both work from central dictatorial decision making, is only valid mechanistically. Yes how this might affect a given individual might be similar, but world view and goals are extreme versions of some very REAL differences, that have been worth fighting to achieve.

  • @inspired14U Communism and fascism both necessitate extreme limits on freedom and very large, powerful governments. They are, in practice, not very different at all.

  • This is such BS. Don't be fooled by this "analysis." It is blind-sided interest-led opinion, nothing else.

  • A Republic is anarchy with a contract between the people in which they promise to protect each other. Unless this promise is kept an Oligarchy will ensue, but while this is a likely reality it is always worth trying, because in the end good will always triumph over evil, by the divine will of man to help his fellow man. The only way evil will triumph is if they deceive the good, but they can only keep him deceived for so long. Truth will inevitably shine through the lie, and the lie will die.

  • i just had a democracy exam in my university, they asked 3 questions and just answered what you have mentioned in your video which i happened to see 15 mins before my exam ... and i decided that this is the answer that i want to write down not the b*lsh*t they wants us to memorize and write time after time ... so lets see the colors of my teacher :)

  • What if how we choose to live among each other is about change outside our control. Look at the invention of the car, could anyone then have imagined how cars would transform humanity on a fundamental level? If you think the car changed us, the Internet has, and is about to do it again, but on a much larger level. Imagine someone never having seen a road, suddenly coming upon one. At first they'll notice it goes far beyond where the eye can see, but they don't know how to use it. We're just arri

  • The Public school system is run by radicals and socialists! It's a disgrace!

  • @womenforaction that's exactly what i thought. but i'd like to hear a counter argument to that.

  • People say ethics and morals dont exist. Ethics are not real to an extent. Ethics are effective in helping to solve and prevent problems between 2 beings. How can something that isnt real be effective? If there were no ethics then caveman would have all killed each other and never become a tribe that led to cities that eventually led to nations. If it weren't' for ethics we would not be as civilized as we are today. How is an effective way of solving/preventing problems between humans non-exist

  • This video incorrectly attributes the end of the Roman Republic to the creation of such public services as housing and welfare programs. The Roman Republic morphed into the Roman Empire because the Republic's "constitution" wan unwritten and unofficial. Unlike the US Constitution, there were no guidelines specifying the specific officials of the government, what their powers were and how they were to be elected. Therefore individuals (like Octavian Caesar) expanded their powers once in control.

  • I have created a video about top 20 least democratic countries... I hope you like it!

  • Neither does the word trinity found in the bible but is not God triune in his nature?

Either way you put without the truth all categories fail.

  • But who rules in the kingdom of God?... God.. right? So that's one who is "self existent source" and many who need the source!

  • So a monarchy, a fascist state or a National Socialist state cannot protect the rights of its citizens? Or it doesnt want to? How about yall read up on what 'nazism' really is before you call it a dictatorship, and for that matter, fascism too. RESTORE THE MERITOCRACY!

  • God gave Moses the form of a Republic government for the millions of Jews in the wilderness. Our Founding Fahers knew their scriptures and after prayer they chose a Republic. amrica better wake up and teach the truth before these thugs in Washington overthrow us.

  • Radical left-hand side of the monarchy: XD Man, that is rarely seen such a stupid man.The monarchy is a form of radical right-wing government.

  • Are you kidding me? Who determines the law within a Republic? Is it a few, a majority or one? A republic can not act alone because someone has to make law. The constitution may not mention democracy but a society with laws has to be determined by someone and this is where democracy steps in here in America. You mentioned the sheriff in this video would step in and enforce that law. But how did this law come about? Be truthful. Stop blurring the lines. America is still learning how to "work".

  • @womenforaction Your ignorance is showing . Go buy the Federalists Papers and study. Unless you are a plant who monitors these sights to propagandize?

  • the message is clear: VOTE FOR REPUBLICANS AND THEN LET'S INVADE IRAN

  • ron paul 2012

  • Thank you sharing this flick

  • Voting is a pathetic and empty exercise of human liberty. Withdraw consent, live by example, work and create value, speak for liberty, and do not aggress against others. This is the path.

  • It really does not matter which government a people chooses because the greedy and power hungry will ALWAYS find a way to exploit and corrupt the system.

  • This is biased and fundamentally incorrect -.- but that's cool be sheepel and believe whatever you want

  • @RuinedMyExperience what parts did you find were "fundamentally incorrect"?

  • There are way too many simplifications here. The presenter here only relates these terms to the modern era. What's not mentioned in any of these leading videos is that the US is a 'constitutional' republic. They don't explain the different forms of republics, or what a 'direct' democracy is - which is primarily their main beef is anyway. Be aware of such over-simplifications between republic and democracy as presented here. They're not exactly at odds in many circumstances.

  • If, you don't believe the USA is a Republic, say the Pledge.

  • It looks like congress came in here and clicked the dislike button 100 times and Obama and his cartel 36 times.

  • Here is the LAW. Do not physically harm another intentionally or not if you do you're responsible for it.Do not cause pecunairy(property/financial) loss to another intentionally or not if you do you're responsible for it.Do not be fraudulent in your contracts(agreements) with others if you do you are responsible for it.It's Common law folks, pretty simple. It's the law the TV judges speak of when they say ignorance of the law is no excuse.Unwritten law Now go learn real truthful history chop chop!

  • such a b.s. propaganda film for nazis. think about this. everything from prescription drugs to toxic nanoparticles such as nanosilver in sea life (via our waste water systems) are in our water supply yet under a republic, this would not be monitored nor regulated. a republic did not consider the technology and complexity of technology today because it couldn't! it wasn't around back then! there NEEDS to be regulation. i admit that regulation is poor with our government tho and needs change

  • @markuskentwood - There is need for regulation and the Republic accepts that fully... but it has to be quite limited. The polution example is a good one, unfortunately today regulations go above and beyond its proper place... actually it goes to the wrong places, places where politicians can profit from.

  • @markuskentwood I don't see anything propaganda related in this video. As the video insinuates multiple times, balanced and justified regulation that doesn't infringe upon the law and the people's rights and allows for innovation as a society (and to do that, we'd have to do everything you mentioned) is perfectly acceptable in a republic; the idea of a republic is easily adaptable in modern times; what we're witnessing now is a republic at its weakest and most vulnerable point.

  • if we didn't have a democracy, there would be no one to build roads for us, no one to monitor the safety of our food air water and products, etc. a republic was formed in a different era that is no longer relevant today whatsoever.

  • Comment removed

  • @markuskentwood The "democracy" does not build the roads for us, and has nothing to do with whether or not we get our basic infrastructure built or keep our waters clean. That does not even make sense.

You seem to have a "republic" form of government mixed up with neanderthals and a democracy form of government mixed up with evolved enlightenment.

The men who created our Republic were probably smarter than the average citizen today and chose it for good reasons.

  • @kimzonline we are a democracy and republic. there is a place and time for each. the problem with republicans is that they demonize democracy and socialism and fail to see the INTENT of these ideas. it's to promote well-being for everyone. it's not about the means to that end, but the end in and of itself. republicans tend to focus more on the means and practicality. which i agree with. however, we need to be striving towards well-being for all. you are only as good as your weakest link.

  • @markuskentwood You really think that the government is looking our for our safety? . This is the equivalent of them handing you a cow patty and then calling it prime rib as they serve it to you. One so blindly and with such inept critical thinking skills, will accept the cow patty, pay the price of a five star meal, and say thank you. Look around and question things that don't make sense. There has been a VERY cleaver and successful intent to control ones' perception of reality.

  • @markuskentwood Research instead of swallowing the cow patty that is handed to you. My intent is not to disagree, or out of a need to be "right". I make this suggestion out of genuine love for fellow brothers and sisters.

  • Whats happeing now in the USA shows that Republics lead to Oligarchy aswell.

  • So the USA should stop spreading "Democracy" around the world ;)

  • Anarchism isn't inherently bad, as this video asserts. Anarcho-capitalism is a completely possible. A country, made up of states or communities voluntarily trading goods and services, regulated and enforced by the free market and property rights is definitely viable. It just takes educating people on the rights of man. I see anarchy less of an extreme take on minarchism and more of the logical conclusion of a highly limited government. Eventually, people will learn to no even need one.

  • @Ronok888 Anarcho-Capitalism is the least viable school of Anarchism.

  • @StrangeIsMyWorld

    the wild, wild West ;)

  • @StrangeIsMyWorld Why can't one own property without the State?

  • @Ronok888 Where you have property, you have theft. But how does one define "Theft" in a society that is meant to be without recourse to Law? Where you have law, you must have authority to enforce said Law. And where you have authority, force/coercion and law. You cannot by definition have Anarchism. But you can have Right Libertarian Minarchism which is really what Anarcho-Capitalists are. They are "Minarcho-Capitalists."

  • @StrangeIsMyWorld Like I said, I find anarcho-capitalism to be the logical conclusion to libertarianism. When everybody voluntarily respects the rights of the others around them there is no need for a force and coercion. Call it pie-in-the-sky but I like to imagine that we can be good people. Maybe I'm just an eternal optimist though.

  • @Ronok888 And my argument is that Minarchism is the logical result of any society that undertakes to merge the inherently democratic and socialist foundations of Anarchism to a capitalist economy. You can be Anarchist or you can be Capitalist. but you cannot be both. Also if you believe in the inherent goodness of people what need have you for Property? Put down the Ayn Rand and pick up some Kropotkin. Your Anarcho-Syndicalist/Libertarian Socialist comrades won't let you starve.

  • @StrangeIsMyWorld Kroptkin's an alright dude. Really, in my opinion it shouldn't be a choice between capitalism and socialism (and corporatism if you want to make it a triumvirate) but rather whichever economic system you personally wish to run by. Maybe you'd like being able to compete with others and maximize productivity? Maybe you want everybody to have their little part in the world and share things with others? Why can't we all just live with others in the way we want?

  • @Ronok888 Well thats a bit of an oversimplification. If 90% of your Nieghbours wish to live in a Socialist Anarchist society...will you happily move to the part of the world which wants to be Anarcho-Capitalist? But lets say you are happy to do this. And your society actually manages to flourish and not as I suspect disintegrate. Will you leave us in peace or will you in time fall victim to that nasty side effect of Capitalism...EMPIRE?

  • @StrangeIsMyWorld No, actually if we lived in a voluntarist society I might just come by your pad. I have no problem with socialism, I just don't like government and force being used with it. On the large scale I believe free market capitalism with a minarchist, socially liberal state is the best choice to run one big country, but I'd rather everyone be able to live in peace among communities however they wish. Such is why I am, at the core of everything, a Volunatist.

  • @Ronok888 I like you Rono...you may be the only Anarcho-Capitalist I have ever liked. I also share your dislike for Twilight. Best of luck to you Comrade.

  • @StrangeIsMyWorld See, we don't need the government to tell us how to live our lives, to tell us we all can't be friends. We run by the economics we want!

  • @Ronok888 And one more thing...Kropotkin was not a Frat brother, he was not an "...Alright dude" he was not an intellectual heavyweight and a lifelong revolutionary. If you want to bow down at the alter of the almighty dollar and jerk off to Atlas Shrugged thats your business. But remember, when Kropotkin was old he refused the help of the Soviet State. Believing authoritarian Communism to be a betrayal of Liberertarian Socialism. When Ayn Rand got old she collected Social Security.

  • @StrangeIsMyWorld I like Rand, but I'm not an Objectivist. I prefer the works of Hayek and Mises as far as my libertarian reading material goes. I've read some Kropotkin as well as Bakunin though, as well as Chomsky of course. They're alright. And then some other miscellaneous philosophers. Mainly my biggest beef with the an-com crowd sometimes is the willingness for violence, which as an individualist I am always against.

  • @StrangeIsMyWorld Now your getting it. ;) The very essence of Capitalism is a for profit system. In order for that system to survive, scarcity and inefficiency must be created causing unnecessary loss and suffering. We are not limited to these systems that obviously do not serve us or the planet. Expand the mind. Imagine the sole intent to be for all, rather than self. When everyone carries that agenda, there is no need for fear or government.

  • @MOwensbooks Im not trying to be rude or anything im just trying to understand. when you say an intent for all do you mean like the idea Tesla had for free energy or this one guy the 1900s who developed some kind of healing device for the masses to use, then the government coming in and shutting them down because of...i dont know, taking buisness away?

  • @Ronok888 As long as people live in a state of fear, which has been well perpetrated, this concept will be hard to swallow.

  • @Ronok888 "Anarcho-capitalism is a completely possible", you say. Based on what evidence. It is more of an ideology and like most ideology's they only work in text books (or story books)

Anytime you deal with man, you will need to have boundaries in place and guardians of those boundaries, otherwise, greed, corruption and power manipulation WILL eventually be the result.

  • @kimzonline Capitalism is economic anarchy. The strongest win out, and if you're not strong, then you are subject to slavery. It is the modern day equivalent of plantation slavery, serfdom, feudalism, etc...

  • @D0KTOR7 nope.avi

  • @kimzonline That's a rather dim view on humanity don't you think?

  • Wrong. Monarchy (absolutism) like when the french revolution. One ruler, no back stage. Oligarchy (fascism) back stage, with few rulers, pyramid form. Democracy ( socialism). Republic, more than democracy. Decided by everyone today, yesterday and before. Anarchy has been primitive or revolutionary.

  • Anarchy? You tell it wrong. In anarchy people are ruled by their moral and ethics that replace law! Classical taboo for all west and east thinker you never read about it just hear.

  • @Aleksa21111

    Morals and ethics don't exist.

  • @omegapoint777

So what stop you to cheat your wife?

  • What about 1% controlling the 99% and 21% able to elect potus wtf if thats a rebublic it can go f itself

  • Wow i feel so educated rite now i always thought America was a Democracy, why is this confusion so common amoungst us

  • bad example, in a democracy there is still law, everyone has the wright to a frair trial.

  • What a gross misrepresentation of anarchy!

  • WORLD NEED THE DEMOCRACY 4.0!!! SEARCH ABOUT IT!!!

  • @ wotanodyn NO! you're wrong.

  • All Democracy means is 51%can take the rights of 49%.And they have a lot of tricks to get 51%. of the people to take the 49% of people's rights.

  • @loudafool30 Do you mean the 51% have a lot of tricks?

  • @loudafool30 what about 21% of people controlling 89% of the people because it only takes like 21% of people to elect potus

  • anarchy does not mean no government it means no rulers

  • lol how convenient for a right winger to equate socialism with nazism. drop the rhetoric please, communists and nazis fought in the streets, nazis sent left-wingers to camps or worse. Please don't equate the two.

  • de·moc·ra·cy [dih-mok-ruh-see]

1.government by the people; a form of government in which the supreme power is vested in the people and exercised directly by them or by their elected agents under a free electoral system.

2.a state having such a form of government: The United States and Canada are democracies.

3.a state of society characterized by formal equality of rights and privileges.

4.political or social equality; democratic spirit.

  • @TheJOE9696 Did you even watch the video?

  • @BigGator5

I did. what i get from the video is he says democracy is when the majority has supreme power, and republic is when government power is limited to a rule of law. right?

but when i go to the dictionary i don't see the same definition as the video:

    re·pub·lic

    noun

1.a state in which the supreme power rests in the body of citizens entitled to vote and is exercised by representatives chosen directly or indirectly by them.

  • what about voting? isn't that democracy?

  • @BoneBeast ROFL. Only cowards give up their freedom.

  • socialism is the way!

  • As it's said in this video, in one point in history there was only monarchy and oligarchy. Then humans came up with and tried democracy and republic. And yet, it seems like the world's latest attempt at republic is failing. Why is that? But more to the point... might there come a time in future history when someone will create a video just like this except there's a system that we have not thought of and implemented now. What's the next system? Can the scale be widen?

  • If America is a Republic then why do people vote for president?

I'm not hating I'd rather live in a Republic than a Democracy, but why is that?

  • @OfficialLyrix we "vote" so the electoral college like representatives in congress, vote their constitutes district votes..

  • Comment removed

  • Constitutional Moderates FTW

  • I think the term "Fascism" should be thrown out or reinvented because it's defined as on the extreme right 0:43 AND the far left 1:06. o_O

  • @stopstickers The narrator means the first use of fascism is the wrong definition.

  • The Greek gone, the Roman gone, it's natural for the American to be gone. Even the human will be gone someday.

  • this video is awesome although it is not completely accurate when people can elect the head of state and representatives then it is a democracy

  • 08:56 is venice in the middle age and has nothing to do with the roman empire. just wanted to point this out ;) greets from europe.

  • As for democracy and the republic ... Democracy by itself is bad (totalitarism of the majority). But today's democracy never stands alone. It is always subjected to the notion. That means even the majority can not go vote taking basic human rights away from someone. A necessary correction.

The republic? What good is the 'rule of law' if it's the rich few who set them for their own benefit? It is just another way of saying capitalist oligarchy.

  • Wrong of course. Left vs. right is not about strenght of goverment. It is about enabling people (left) vs. controling people (right).

A left government is the one that will use redistribution of wealth and power to enable people thus balancing the social injustice created by capitalism.

The right government is the one that will promote the capital even against it's own people.

  • @wotanodyn Are you saying Stalin was a right winger or centrist? He redistributed wealth & controlled the people. Tito, Castro, Mao, Pol Pot, Lenin, kim jong il--all on the right? And Mussolini was a leftist because he was anti-capitalist?

You're 1/2 right. The difference between free market capitalism and redistributive govt is in the latter, the govt controls all wealth & people. See how Americans are controlled for their entitlements already? The other promotes economic & personal freedom.

  • @PatrickHenry75 The video defines Stalin, Hitler, Mussolini, Lenin, etc, as being on the left.

  • @sthomaslewis Yes, I know. I agree. I was simply pointing out to Wotanodyn the error of his statement.

  • A Republic is a state that does not practice Direct Democracy (No modern State does.) But rather has a government indirectly controlled by the people through election. This modern understanding of the term was originally developed by James Madison, Author of the Constitution. This is also known as Representative Democracy. Therefore the USA is a Democratic Republic. Like the Republic of Ireland, the Republic of India the French Republic, the Italian Republic, the Republic of Cyprus and so on...

  • @StrangeIsMyWorld

Direct Democracy is practiced in Switzerland. of course, not on everyday basis. But it is still used.

  • @bgtop9962 Yes I know. I previously mentioned the Swiss Canton system.

  • Why is there a photo of Churchill at 02:33 with Oligarchy? He was the leader of a parliamentary democracy.

  • He's wrong about anarchy. Anarchy means no government. Therefore there is no ruling over others in the aftermath of an overthrow.

  • @Vote4RonPaulLiberty

I believe that an anarchy would allow you to be ruled not by government but by people that are much bigger than you and want what you have earned. RON PAUL 2012.

  • @MrNellyred Anarchy allows you to be ruled by YOURSELF. Autonomy.

  • @Vote4RonPaulLiberty That is true in a sense and I understand what you are saying. My implication was what happens when someone takes something you have earned in this autonomous system? You either have to defend yourself and belongings or you must give in. What happens when a group of people come to take what you have earned? You may form your own group and try to retaliate or you must give in to their demands. These groups would be the beginning formation of a small form of government.

  • @MrNellyred What happens now should this occur? Most theft is never made right even with all the laws we now have in place. Yes, I believe in defending yourself via groups and firearms. The difference is that it isn't a law. Nothing written or otherwise in place FORCING you to abide by another person's beliefs or desires. There is no perfect system. I suffer no delusions. But I am convinced that government makes things worse.

  • @MrNellyred BTW what you said here, "not by government but by people that are much bigger than you and want what you have earned." - Well you just described government. Think about it. And before you ask, YES I do understand that forming a defense group touches on this but it differs similar to how the 2007 Tea Partiers came together and yet, there was no leader, no mandates, no set of rules, no punishment for not following orders. Just a collection of individuals out to say no to oppressive tax

  • @Vote4RonPaulLiberty I think we are on the same page for the most part. I was just implying that as a society, anarchy likely would not last and that it would be a transitional period to a different form of government. I agree that government makes things worse. I am a libertarian but I do see a purpose and necessity for a limited scope government. You could say that my vision is only transitory as well because government will always grow. Grow into something it wasn't intended to be.

  • In theory (and reality), a monarchy, republic, ditatorship, and Anarchy can be a Democracy, and Democracy is not a middle term of power, but an way state regulation. The Usa, and here in Brazil, is a Democrat republic.

  • @naytyn That's exactly what I said. People always think that the two are mutually exclusive. Some people don't understand that we elect our representatives for the Republic through a Democracy and that you can even have an oligarchy from a Republic when the representatives don't represent their people anymore. Nice to see smart people out here.

  • If we get to Communism trough Anarchy, that means that we would have reach a maximum state of democracy, in which there are no prejudice, boarders between people, were the law is truly the only form off "government". (Yes, there is law in Communism and Anarchy)

So stop listening to this ignorant man, talking about thing he don't know, nor have sudied, and research for yourselves.

  • There are many inaccurate information in this video:

    1. Communism has no government, it's a system were all people act to the well fare of all. It assumes that all people reach a state of Democracy.

2.Democracy is also not a government, it's an ideal, in which the state, governement or the society makes decision in favor of all, in which all opinion is consider. There is no prejudice, cuz democracy is the lov of the diferreces, and the common growth that it leads to.

    #Anarchy is a idealogy...

  • @naytyn ...in which all the people can "get" to communism and democracy, without the intermedium of the state(socialism)

  • what happened to the romans is exactly what is happening today in america. just look at what is happening. terror attacks occur so that we are willing to give up our freedoms for security. the federal reserve is a private corporation, not a govt. entity, and it is driving the economy into a hole on purpose. the final step of this process for the elite is to cause mass hysteria and panic in which we give up our freedoms for the government (run by the elite) to help us. we have to wake up.

  • @SirSoloDolo33 I could not agree with you more... this is exactly how revolutions started... the economics of the country effect enough people so that public anger spills into the streets with an uncontrolled vengeance. We are not there yet... as the vast majority of the population in the US lives very very well at lease as compared to the rest of the world. Hopefully the current trend will be able to reverse itself, though it appears that an economic meltdown is inevitable. ..

  • Facism is state-controlled capitalism, you can privately own business but all of your property at any time can be beholden to the state. Not even communism in its most twisted forms is so destructive.

  • @MrDubDisciple Or as Benito Mussolini (father of Fascism) defined it as the merger of corporations and state. Where the state doesn't represent the people and instead it represents the corporations.

  • right now we have a corporate oligarchy

  • "Constitutional Republicanism" is the last gasp of wealth/power hoarding elitism.

It still engages in the typical aristocratic slanders of democracies, some of which go back to the Roman Republic (which was itself an oligarchy.)

The "rule of law" is a slogan that obfuscates the continued rule of a limited political class.

  • There was no democracy in ancient Greece before or during the days of Solon, just aristocracy and oligarchy. Besides that, the people with the actual power in the roman republic were senators, rich oligarchs. Rome hardly a republic in the sense of the one who made this video.

  • @6MDV6 We have a Constitutional Democracy

  • Anarchy would not be a bunch of people running around looting shit.

The private sector would be hired to keep order.

    Bad video.

  • @WONDOCTORJ So your saying that no government (anarchy) would remain by stating that private control of government would arise? Those two ideas are contradictory. You cant have anarchy and control by a group hired or elected in the same category.

  • @aaronbassplyr I would IMMEDIATELY get together with my neighborhood, and we would pay for order in our area......

I simply am stating that anarchy is just not a bunch of mobs running around raping, killing, and pillaging.

I lean more towards REPUBLIC myself though.

  • And so my sign at OWS said: "Remember WHY those Europeans came to the Americas! There were one of US" ... To remind people THEY wanted change too! They came here to revolutionize their lives under new CONTROL. Fair CONTROL.

  • @insidexistance They* were one of us.

  • Democracy????? Republic???? still confused???

If you can read this than you should be educated enough to pick up a dictionary and figure it out.....or if your feeling really froggy...How about actually reading the U.S. Constitution :)

  • @turmmoil This is a Democratic Republic state.

  • LOL, you know in a communist society there will be no goverment. get your facts straight. And the Russian revolution was not a revolution lead by Anarchist, but by socialists (but there where Anarchist that rebelled at the same time, but they were to few).

  • LOL, you know in a communist society there will be no goverment. get your facts straight.

  • lol, America is a oligarchy rule by the powerful.

every 4 years you all get to vote for an american idol as president and noting change after that.

  • Humanity is not ready for Anarchy, but once the world recognizes and evolves morally to accept that government is the variable to unreasonable force, there will be true freedom.

  • Lol at people supporting democracy..this isn't propaganda this is truth. Think about it like this, say we vote on a seriously controversial issue and it ends up 51%-49%...you expect those 49% to just accept it and do nothing about it? That would be irrational and idiotic..the founding fathers were spot on. A republic is the most reasonable form of government.

  • Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790)

Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote.

  • The rule of law is a nice theory, but it tends to be corrupt.

  • Please note that it is the congress, elected by the people, who create law in this country. Law is not independent of the will of the majority.

  • When I was in high school I was shown this video and I thought it made a lot of sense. Now I know better and see it for what it is. A white washed presentation of quasi-history purposely propogating an agenda.

  • Looking for supporters of election reform. We propose a way of voting that would better represent the people.
