Pretty sure that's the fuel metering unit, not the throttle linkage, that everyone's so excited about. But I agree, pretty awesome to watch as he drives.
I can't think of anything I'd rather do than that! Also, this Gary Sheehan is driving the car really hard, like it was designed to be driven. A lot of these rich collectors mosey round as if they don't know what the car is for. It must take real courage to drive a 800hp/ton car which was designed so long ago round a track at such a fast pace, especially on this quite daunting track. Absolutely fantastic.
Especially interesting coming out of fast turns, where you can see the throttle going on gradually, in direct proportion to the unwinding of steering lock (the less tyres have to steer, the more throttle they can take!). Great.
Ive seen this video in the past..anyone know what carburetor that is..its hard to tell..?it so interesting to cause you can see where he is on or off the throttle
@cobbtuning oh crazy to get response from cobb...i bought an acces port from you guys while i was in utah..absolutey awsome tuner and you guys even came out to my car to assist the install....also helped with my leaking o-ring on my intake flow sensor...

What a sound. My little Winky was lifting up and down exactly in time with that linkage.

Quite probably the best video I've EVER seen on youtube. Extraordinary to see the throttle linkage controlling that terrifying V8 noise! :-D

Isn't it fab ! I think having the throttle linkage on full view like this should be made law!

Great vid, really at the limit, unlike most classic car videos I watch where the drivers seem to stick to 5/10ths. Excellent car too.
