No offense... but these EXPs/LN7s were pure SHITBOXES. Especially, the 1st 82-83 models. Plus, they had NO balls, were FWD(lame) and ugly.
I'm not an EXP hater... I like the 87-88 models, which ran ALOT better, had a better/bigger engine, and had the better looking Escort GT style nose. That's when they changed the name to Escort EXP.
lol I just bought one of these for $125. It needs a fuel pump and a brake master cylinder, but otherwise is in very good condition. It only has 130k on it. I plan on repainting it after I get it running. I am going to use it to drive back and forth to work (1 and a half hr drive). I hope it gets 40+ mpg on the highway. My friends CRX gets 40+ and his engine is about the same size as the EXPs 1.6 liter.
If you had the VCR hooked to a DVD recorder you could put the DVD on the computer and pull the video off of it to post as a clearer version of this... I've been saving old commercials off of my old BetaMax tapes recently!
@455Transam Alberta Canada, but if you go to fordexp dot com you can likely find one nearer to you, they are a great bunch of people and always happy to help out!

this ford exp car is a poor design,,,
1 - block front grilled and not enough getting cooler air to the radiatior,
2 - no gas in hole on the left driver side,
3 - no have 2 amber yellow lights on the rear taillights

A guy in our club was able to get 61, but he used every hypermiling trick he could to do it, 38 is very common for these, while driving them hard!
