its like OMG its a tornado i would faint thats my m8 told me when we were in texas a tornado struck a hotel & we were sprinting to cover. we managed to get to the shelter and i fell to the floor i woke up the next 2 or 3 hours and hes said oi you fainted when we were running from our hotel well after got here lol. im 37 now so i was about 24 and im suprised i can still remember lol
There is an old superstition about ringing churchbells to keep storms away. Maybe they were having a little faith...or signaling students to start praying!
We had an EF4 tornado here in my area of Toledo, Ohio about a month ago. Milbury, Ohio looks like a war zone...it's very sad. This is a great video. Hugs from Toledo, Ohio!!!
yeah i was at loyola when this happened! i was in the dorm building that faced the lake and it was funny how the sirens went off about 10 minutes after the tornado was gone!
I absolutly loved how yo filmed it because you showed exactly what would happen in a normal mans world and you even got the nice outer edge of the supercell. 5/5
Is anybody else going to the USA vs Honduras World Cup Qualifier June 6th at Soldier Feild? Im bringing like 10 of my boys with me..in support of our country kicking some ass......... i heard they already ahve 20,000 tickets sold.....still only 2 months away. Jozy Altidore and Freddy Adu 2 American Phenoms are gonna be playing.
blakeandcrap, waterspouts can develop over any body of water no matter the depth. What makes it happen is the wind aloft and not the actual temp of the water. I think your confusing your source with how hurricanes develop. Tornadoes develop when the wind sheer and lift is just right. Alot of elements have to be just right for one to happen which is still a mystery. Great video again guys. A large funnel making the waterspout. Impressive.
no at night iz cold and in day u get to go swimming and go to water parks and stuff so it better than u think if u acctully lived there ur whole life u would understand .....
I remember that like it was the day after tomorrow...I was walking my 2 month old puppy, and the sky turned dark all of a sudden. The wind started picking up, so I picked him up and ran back into the house. I hid in the bathtub crying for my mom. The winds took the roof away, and my puppy flew away out of my arms. As I was grabbing for him, a large piece of glass cut 1 of his front legs off, and he was flung miles away. I really miss him.
Why did you have to take my puppy away from me God?
How hot the weather is depends on where in AZ or CA you are. The DESERTS are hot, with low humidity and easier to take then a humid Chicago day. As for storms AZ and parts of CA get monsoons in the summer. AZ especially. We got almost an inch of rain from one storm, alot for us (in CA). Tornados are VERY rare here.
doooooooo yooooouuuuu think yooooouuuuu should... I don't know... TAKE COVER! I would be as scared as heck! Especially that it's about ≤ a mile away?!
for whom the bell tolls?

Remarkable you caught this from a relatively close location and were safe. Good thing you all took cover when you did.
Yes, it does show that tornadoes can develop just about anywhere. Why the warning sirens didn't go off is a good question.
