@Denzien2 The entire game was made in MMF! Just the standard version, I didn't use Developer. So yeah, no hand written code at all, its all check boxes!
Have you considered making this open source? I've been working on a platformer myself but I've hit several snags that I can't seem to work around. I'd be very interested to see your approaches.
I'm sure I'm not the only one that could learn a lot. :P
@Acroman12 Probably not going to open-source Bonesaw since it's pretty messy, but I'm pretty open to sharing any of my techniques for my games. Quite a few people have emailed me questions and I respond to them all with as much detail as I can ;D
Haha, is space level 2 the one with the secret door? Man I was so evil making this game.
These files all exist still, (I have about 60 gigs of bonesaw backups that span across 200 different versions of the game!) but I'm not sure if they'll ever be publicly released for playing. Maybe someday though!
That is an interesting sequence of events, and it shows us what great games look like before they become great! Thanks, xerus!
One question I'd like to have answered: About how far along in the process were you when you decided to put the door to Dr. Wick's domain after the flag in Level 1? I have my reasons for asking, I assure you.
Haha, that was actually one of the last things I did. I didn't plan to have the entrance there until the very end of the game after Wick was coded and done! ;D
Wow first response in a year 0.0
This is a GREAT game, it it's funny how there's no code (made in multilmedia fusion 2 developer wasn't it?)

@Acroman12 He responds very much in-depth. A shining example of what a developer should be!

Do the files of these original versoins still exist? Because if they do, I'd love to play them for some strange reason.
PS Them SLUzers originally looked damn wierd... Gee I wonder why? :)
PSS Space level 2 is impossible!!

At 3:31 was the first version I saw - and I had NO idea what kind of music to write then. Good times.

Wow. It's amazing how a game with in which the main character was a green square evolved to become a game which made UltraJMan cry, lol.
BTW: Still stuck on referee, curse you're spinning spike balls to hell!

Bring a Slasher with you, face the wall, and mash X as fast as you can. As soon as Ref M teleports into your trap he's as good as dead.
Of course, then you have to face Robo-Ref 2.0...

Tech demo, proof of concept, all the way up to final. Very well done and an excellent example of game development.
