I just bought one of these today, im running mineral spirits through it, I put a few heavy duty magnets on the bottom so alot of the metal particles are caught that way instead of sitting on the bottom, Im using it to clean my transmission getting it ready for a rebuild. Also, the hood prop sucks, so I modified the strut so the lid opens to a 90 degree instead of 60 degrees, couldnt stand it being in the way anymore. So far so good for the money.
@KnuckleheadGraphics Perhaps too late, but the reason the strut is at a 60 degree angle is because it's a safety feature. In the event of a fire in the parts washer, the strut has a high-temp fuse which shuts the lid shut, putting out the fire.
So far pretty well, I have left it on for about 5 hours running on a part and have cleaned many other things as well with no issues. They sell this exact same one at tractor supply for about $140
