I am sorry, brahmacharya does not mean non excess. It means ceasing to seek pleasures from external sources and seeking it within , that is in the god self. It comes out of intelligence and dispassion after inquiring into the nature of seeking and the nature of being, and a decision to stop seeking. It is a pity that westerners are diluting the teachings of yoga. Peace
