@gotrice15278 Grinding ink is for using, so I use it up. If there is left over, I usually do not wash because: 1st, I am lazy; 2nd, it makes my sink black.
That was exactly what I thought at the beginner. Now, I start to think, if I do not use it, it's beauty will never have a chance to expressed. I decide to appreciate it by using it, put its life into real practice. Do you agree. Thank you for your kind thought. I appreciate.
These videos were awesome! I have never seen ink grinding. It was really interesting and you are a great commentator!

@yanghaiyang after you grind your stone and finished, do you let the ink dry in the ink stone or do you clean it off?

"I think this is the least important thing, but the most fun thing." I think the most fun things are the most important! :)

If you leave the ink stick on the ink slate, it might stick together due to the glue.

what are ink sticks used for?

What does the ink do when the stick gets to the gold markings? Does it make the ink any different?
Dancer4ever000 8 months ago
@Dancer4ever000 That tiny piece of gold colored marking is un-noticable. I have not yet seen any difference in ink.

This reminds me that I must soon buy an ink stone from you. Mine's only 1" wide and it's driving me nuts, lol.

I love the scraping sound that the ink sticks make on the ink stones. Something therapeutic about the sound. Thank you. :)

maybe you can use a funnel and insert the long end in the water dropper's hole and that way it will be easy to get the water in the dropper faster..
MamiYare 2 years ago
But there is no funnel that has such a tiny ending.
yanghaiying 2 years ago
put it into container full of water and it will fill by itself ;]
