I saw The Tea Party play at a little local venue and they really rocked. They played their own stuff and covered some other great stuff. I ended getting hit in the head by the fruit tray that the drummer frisbeed out into the crowd, haha I am the 'chosen one' Don't worry, it didn't hurt...that much ;)
I wish they were still together. I loved their sound.
This song only talks about the talent these guys had to just play and sing absolutely anything with perfection. And their wide knowledge of music. Not squared in a single thing.
what are you people complaining about? blues is a major part of there sound. 3 people are making this "noise". canadians even. just bask in the greatness that is the tea party. they should have never split. listening to splendor soils when i was 20 yrs old high out of my mind playing final fantasy 7. in a word, perfect.
@darthstinky Indeed. This sound is infact revisited by Martin in The Armada. Alot of bluesy tunes on that album. And it seems as though the sound of The Tea Party followed Jeff Martin to his new band. Then the Tea Party announced they were getting back together for atleast the upcoming reunion tour. So rejoice.
I have a copy of this album...lol so awesome. It's just them gaining their voices, you can still hear their influence really, really heavily...the high point songs wound up redone on Splendor Solis anyway. This album has it's own charm though :D
Yes. They did some straight bluesy stuff on the album. They even delve into jazz on 'All My Charms'. Jeff has a pretty mean, clean guitar solo on the track.
why didn't anyone tell me that they reunited?????

I'm having a hard time recognizing this as The Tea Party. Then again they do have a lot of albums.
