Who got the name Savannah from Savannah Smiles was Shannon Michelle Wilsey in 1990.

The real Savannah was a beautiful and stunning girl, please don't make confusion.

i thought my sister just could not let go of a form of my moms name. her first daughter has my moms name as a middle name and her savannah is her second daughters name. then my niece used my moms name as her daughters middle name witch is her middle name too.

I was 7 or 8 when this movie came out in 1982 and decided back then if I ever had daughter I was going to name her Savannah Bridgette after the movie and actress. Guess what? Years later I had a daughter and I named her Savannah Bridgette. Unfortuately she died when she was 3 months old and even though she's up in Heaven I still smile everytime I watch the movie and hear this song When Savannah Smiles.

@sassielassie216 my daughters name is also Savannah (however not after this film) She is also in heaven. She died when she was 13 months old. You have my thoughts and prayers with you! I bought this movie before my Savannah passed but I never watched it. I just watched it tonight and bawled. I miss my Savannah so much! <3

This is my favorite movie...I'm 29 years old and just love it to bits. The innocence and sweetness of Bridgette/Savannah...well, you can't find that too often now a days. It makes me wonder what she would be doing now if she was alive though...
