I haven't seen this in a long time...... So those asking does Professor Thump know bass. Listen to some Image X10's or any of the Klipsch in ears and that'll answer that question. P Thump before bringing the legendary sound of Klipsch to 'phones I think designed some of the Klipsch Reference series and other projects and in a past life ran a pro audio company for live sound reinforcement. And now some z models custom made for musicians and other audio professionals are coming ....
Klipsch rock! I have the X10's and love them. There are no other headphones that compare. I can put them on and hear perfect sound. I know they're expensive but they're worth it to me. Every other headphones I hurt my ear and don't play loud enough and let's not talk about the bass! The Klipsch are like $10k speakers in your ears! They sound great and you can wear them ALL day long. Nothing better! Great job Klipsch!
I wear these IEMs 10hrs/day and after having used Bose, Shure and Sennheiser (with Comply foams), this is the pair to stick with. Sound preference is personal, but the bass is very deep. X10s = the need high quality MP3's or better lossless formats.
Thanks to great sound isolation, my iPhone plays mostly at just 3 blocks and I still have bass and detail. That's far less noise than the environment I work in, so in the meantime the X10's rather protect my ears.
@cjmarsh504 my father has a pair of klipchorns and he told me he payed 5 grand 30 years ago he still has the pamphlet for them FUCKING AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Totally. I tried these x10's on in a store at SeaTac and was smitten immediately.... Then I saw the price.
So, maybe don't make the X10 cheaper. But it would be cool if you could make something that *fits* like an x10, sounds almost as good, but costs about $100 or less.
Awesome headphones though. If you have 250 bucks to blow on them, these are the ones.
i have the image X10, however, I would like more bass on my iphone, iphone's bass boost doesn't work and other EQ setting tends to make the high to bright. However, my creative Zen vision M gives me punchy bass. does the custom 3 offer more bass?
thank god for your anechochoic chamber i could use it in my bullshit canadian million dollar "so called luxury " ghetto!!!. Its noisy as hell BUT LUXURIOUS? ...hell no!!! I would kill for an anechoic chamber or at least a normal american suburban lot/home
i got the Custom 2's about a month ago and i'm pretty happy with them. i use them mainly on the iphone, so i haven't used them on a high quality sound source.
the different ear molds help a ton with getting bass and sealing up your ear.
Hey Mark these headphones are the bomb and worth every penny. I own the IMAGE and they sound like you're actually on stage listening to the group playing the music. If you were the mastermind behind this project you did an awsome job. "KLIPSCH RULES".

I can't believe you guys put that much work in to headphones, but couldn't build a promedia system that would last for more than a year.

=O these headphones look cool. But man, how do you even make a speaker inside of those small things. I bet they are really efficient.
