I saw a suns cover group called the gayboy buns...they ripped this song a new one and I became a new fan of an obscure, welcome to the aids generation from so long ago...before antivirus movements! great band those gayboy buns!
This is pretty awesome! The reason I found it is because there is a gay tribute band called Volgaybo Sons and they actually passable. Pretty cool stuff duder.
Has anyone ever listened to these lyrics? Brilliant! Christ, Prescott was so damn good with lyrics. Unappreciated for the most part. Listen to STEW TIME. Volcano Suns are worth picking up in vinyl for those that Get It. The digital loses something big time, sadly. For those conscious at this time in music, you just might have been lucky enough to get this when it was fresh. Still good today.
Believe it or not, there are two on ebay right now although priced at $50-60 due to rarity. I would imagine some of the vinyl stores in NYC have this album, too. I had two copies of it but I have not seen my second one in a few years. It might be buried somewhere in my collection. Great album and the vinyl of the early records has more open and natural sound then the CD remix though it's slightly less tipped up in top end.
@abstrait1 I was there and when I attended Emerson College and worked on "Metrowave" the local music program on Sunday night with live in-studio guests, bands, and performers Volcano Suns were a part of those moments. Miss it big time but glad I experienced it.
