My most effective killstreak setup so far has been Predator Missile > Attack Helicopter > Reaper. I don't usually have any luck trying to get the AC-130, so this setup still lets me rack up a good amount of kills.

The maps are mostly close quarters because IW wanted to prevent nuke boosters that were common in mw2. Mw2 had pretty big maps such as Wasteland and Rundown where people camped at the far end of the map and nuke boost. well, that is my theory.

I like to use hardline Predator->Precision Airstrike-> Attack Heli or UAV->Predator->Precision Airstrike. They are fairly low and they lead into each other plus getting a UAV at 2 points is almost a constant UAV.

Everything you said is so true. I'm not sure about anyone else but there's very few maps where long range sniping can be put into use. MW3 doesn't have large maps like Afghan or Derail. I enjoy long range sniping and all I can do now is quick scope which is tedious and boring.

I honestly don't know how you can call SMG's effective in this game. Every Assault Rifle in the game kills in the exact same amount of bullets if not faster than any SMG without much difference in firing rate. Not to mention when you get out of those ranges then they dominate even moreso. I find they are almost not worth using, which is sad because they are my favorite gun type in nearly every FPS.

Max, I just got MW3 for Christmas, and I before when I was playing with my brother, I would always use the support kill streaks because I could keep the streak even if I died, but now that I have it and can play more often, I've gotten a better feel and can effectively use the assault which I'm really liking, and am using the UAV, Care package and I.M.S, getting them overwritten, like you said, because the I.M.S gets kills when they are in groups. It works out great.

Difference between IMSs and Sentry Guns: You can stun/flash Sentries, as well as evade them. With IMSs, if they go off, you die. I've been around corners and still gotten killed by them. Blast Shield should let you live, barely. But if you could deploy 2 IMSs, that essentially allows you to camp safely for 8-10 kills.

I want to like this game. I really do. But the LAG is soooo fucking bad for me. My connection is 35d/6u/20ms ping and yet I'm constantly a ~second+ behind other people. It seems mine is worse than what I see examples of other people complaining about lag. WTF am I supposed to do to get a better connection!? Downgrade to a shitty internet?

@thermalrat the real question is, are you playing on a wireless connection? wireless will always give you lag, regardless what speed you have.

@EnkiduV3 Nope, not on wireless. Wired, open nat, port forwarding, dmz, etc. And it still lags significantly even if I plug directly into my modem. I've even tried various tweaking of download and upload, makes no difference. Granted, this problem was an issue for Blops too. The game punishes good connections or I'm ALWAYS unlucky. :(

I mostly get I.M.S. with Care Packages which is why I decided not to have them in my Killstreaks. That's why I run Care Package, Predator Missile, Attack Helicopter. I usually don't try to get my Package until either I use my other two killstreaks or I die. Especially after I die, so I know I'm in a somewhat safer area to wait for it (except Free for All, spawning is insane lol)

Gotta agree with max here, I feel that you can't get great at MW3. You can get good, sure. Seen lots of people with a 3:1 k/d-ratio. But not like 6:1. There too much luck involved. I feel this is mainly due to the spawning and the maps. This is the main reason I liked MW2 more, you could get great. You got rewarded for pumping 50+ hours into the game. Now I think you peak at 15 or so.

Max, the FMGs are still ridiculous, the nerf didn't do much, look at what you did around 5:35. That said, you don't have to defend using the best guns when other people surely will.

You can only have 1 IMS because of what you said, most encounters are close up, Sentries get flanked and rev up to fire, IMS's cant get flanked and are almost always a death sentence by the time you know they're there.

THE MAPS ARE THE WORST IN THE SERIES! Oh my what a let down they were, I dislike the design, very close quarters, no really big map; no overgrown, no wasteland, no jungle... mostly smallish maps with a lot of buildings and a lot of flanking positions. Most maps are the size of BLOPS firing range, just not as good. The "bigger" maps are like sticking 2 firing ranges together.
