thanks for the reply. but the problem with the DVI-HDMI wire is that I have to use a seperate wire for audio so it really makes my room look messy. The VGA HD cable has the audio wires together in the same cable. I just need to know if the quality of the VGA HD cable is same as using a DVI-HDMI cable.

Thanx man, i have exactly the same monitor with a VGA a cable, I just have two problems, 1 am not sure which resolution is optimum and two the xbox dashboard looked real kinda pixelated so did Halo 3. I just got this console and have nothing else to plug it into, so i have no referance as to what it should look like, but doesnt look HD at all!

I bought this monitor today can wait till it comes n i can hook it up to my 360. Have you considered getting a component to dvi cable? this may reduce the lines you talked about in halo 3 they sell for around $10 on ebay

I wanne buy a xbox360 soon but I´m doubting what i should do. I have a standart no hd tv.

But I also have a dell 2007WFP monitor. (maybe you can google it for specs).

Can I play vga on the dell monitor? And the dell monitor also has dvi-d port. And my last quistion is: is there a benifit in having hdmi on the 360 i wanna buy?

Oh yeah, and what about the aspect ratio, wont it stretch on a 20.1" widescreen monitor?

the dell 2007wfp has a 16ms response rate(ull c alot of ghosts behind moving objects), the samsung in this video is 2ms so the dell isnt exactly hardcore for gaming its also EXPENSIVE and not worth it for gaming! it also seems to have MASSIVE backlight bleeding! avoid this dell!

What resolution are you playing this on? I have the same monitor as you (2232BW). Do you get bad anti-aliasing on games? I mean like jaggies or ugly stair shape looking stuffs on games. I play my 360 through hdmi to dvi adapter. And get the sound from RCA. But then I get really horrible jaggies in games. I've set my resolution to everything but jaggies still make graphic look so dirty .

if u sit close ull c the jaggies its just how it is, HD tvs and monitors can show alot more details hence alot more flaws. but some games like 'the darkness' have minimal jaggies

Mines only 1680x1050 max res, but u said somethin in your other video about your monitor also not actually being 1920x1080 but u can still choose it, so is your max res also 1680 or wats the deal? yes you can, it might be a bit stretched but i dont think you can normally notice it, and if it still bothers u, u can use the resolution above it ;)

im NOT using a switcher! look behind ur 226bw ull see TWO inputs, DVI and VGA, the xbox is plugged in the VGA and my pc through DVI, most new graphics cards support DVI and u can also easly buy vga to dvi converters!

ya my 600 dolla ati has old DVI though not new DVI, and i had to replace my 226bw because i used the old with the new DVI and a bunch of pixels died, they a huge green blob on the screen. And with DVI the games didn't work, so i can only use vga =(
