I sit watching TV with a notepad, constantly writing about what I have seen. If it wasn't for the brilliant medium of TV I wouldn't be exposed to some of the eye opening documentaries which are being produced all over the world which do not get theatrical/DVD releases. I did a little experiment to see exactly how much worthwhile, educational content I could filter out from all the crap over a week. Across 50 odd channels it averaged at about 6 hours a day. More than I could possibly watch.
it doesn't matter who controls it....just that it is controlled....just say no...just shut it off..I did and don't miss it...same with shitty pop music....it has all gone to shit. I invested in a TV antenna and I only use it to look at local news and weather reports ... that's it. I detest commercials and I only watch DVD's of films I enjoy. That first part is definitely true. Since i quit watching television if I turn it on now I dont become fixated by it. Watching TV actually irritates me because i can feel it pull at my subconscious. Its actually creepy to look at pictures of peoples faces when the watch TV.
Great comment. A fellow Youtuber recently made a 1+ hour documentary on who the rulers are. I broke it up into 15 parts and put it on clipser and named it "meet your controllers" or something like that. You can find it on my clipser channel jbreezes21. I took algebra in college and loved it, but it was all about memorizing formulas & using a calculator was always encouraged which I refused to do .But the main culprit to discouraging critical thinking seems to be TV news as it (the news) seems to have trained people to count on them for info and accept w/o questioning.
I was a critical thinker all my life and all the teachers hated me so much that I was always under punishment or at the principal's office for not being "obedient" and disturbing the flow of the class, when I was just being inquisitive because of the thirst of knowledge. I always hated to accept the things for granted and I always wanted to know the underlying why behind everything, I needed to check and confirm everything, and I was punished for that.

I sit watching TV with a notepad, constantly writing about what I have seen. If it wasn't for the brilliant medium of TV I wouldn't be exposed to some of the eye opening documentaries which are being produced all over the world which do not get theatrical/DVD releases. I did a little experiment to see exactly how much worthwhile, educational content I could filter out from all the crap over a week. Across 50 odd channels it averaged at about 6 hours a day. More than I could possibly watch.

I invested in a TV antenna and I only use it to look at local news and weather reports ... that's it. I detest commercials and I only watch DVD's of films I enjoy. No, I was giving an alternate view unlike the TV and am not selling fear but am trying to diminish the TV's power of manipulating the public. When you throw accusations at me and attack my character (a complete stranger) for uploading a video; I think you are the one who is the problem.

@jbreezes @deltacomp005 he's got a point. Any form of media is selling a particular viewpoint. Books, music, television, online videos. In your video, you're selling a viewpoint, as you said "i was giving an alternate view" that TV is "hypnotically" affecting us. How can you say that you're not "hypnotically" affecting us? And doesn't the fact that you're giving an alternate view support that media does have real debate? Or are you simply doubting it till it involves you?

i think we should ban television and have tv hooked to the internet and people can watch videos made by other people. it would promote creativity and a drive to create your own videos for billions to see, twitter could be used to send people news from actual people witnessing it instead of the media warping it to their own belief.

tihs is so true...i stopped watching tv after i gave birth to my son (2005)....i would only watch an occasionly movie...but after i started school i would allow my son to watch videos and pbs (children videos, but some or just as bad as adult shows but thats another topic) and it really does hypnotize him, so i have to remeber to break him away from the tv after 30mins an hold a conversation with him or read a book...its like the worst babysitter ever

That first part is definitely true. Since i quit watching television if I turn it on now I dont become fixated by it. Watching TV actually irritates me because i can feel it pull at my subconscious. Its actually creepy to look at pictures of peoples faces when the watch TV.

Yes it is much bigger then one group. I do believe there maybe someone at the top but under that there are some very powerful organized groups.
Almost since the dawn of mankind we have been fighting over numerous things mostly because we were afraid someone would take our stuff.
We still react to fear and we shouldn't have to anymore. This planet will provide for all its people if we used the resources properly.

Great comment. A fellow Youtuber recently made a 1+ hour documentary on who the rulers are. I broke it up into 15 parts and put it on clipser and named it "meet your controllers" or something like that. You can find it on my clipser channel jbreezes21. Not to say these elites who are in this documentary are at the very top, but it was well done by RJbedard. The fear of losing what we have was so well described in George Carlin's routine about STUFF & how we are controlled and held down by it.

So true. When hearing his routines YEARS ago without the knowledge of what's going on and kept from the public,he just sounded like a rebel and his routines had less impact than they now. After some of the veil covering the eyes is thinned out and partially shredded, his routines have much more meaning and impact. Think it's so cool how a change of perspective and increase in knowledge changes the way something is viewed.

I loved the "weatherman"; "forecast for tonight - dark...followed by widely scattered light in the morning"! I really wish people would wake up to the World Banks and the 'Monsanto' GMO's and others that are destroying this civilization. Look around you. There's very little REAL food left! It's all GM soy, corn and canola filled with bacteria and pesticides and contrary to what Monsanto says about feeding the hungry, there are more people starving than ever!

You're right about the not teaching (and also discouraging) critical thinking. I took algebra in college and loved it, but it was all about memorizing formulas & using a calculator was always encouraged which I refused to do .But the main culprit to discouraging critical thinking seems to be TV news as it (the news) seems to have trained people to count on them for info and accept w/o questioning.

I was a critical thinker all my life and all the teachers hated me so much that I was always under punishment or at the principal's office for not being "obedient" and disturbing the flow of the class, when I was just being inquisitive because of the thirst of knowledge. I always hated to accept the things for granted and I always wanted to know the underlying why behind everything, I needed to check and confirm everything, and I was punished for that.
My childhood was hell.

What's sick, speaking of how TV uses power of suggestion (in vid) I noticed a new theme as govt. gets ready to set people up for starvation and that is cannibalism. I hardly watch TV yet I saw a story about someone eating people twice in one week. One was the show "Supernatural" where guy started eating people, and the other was CSI--as I was flipping through channels I saw a few seconds of CSI showing an autopsy of a guy they found human meat in him. (part 1)

In response to what the guy says "see the lights are on, but no one's home", that is sooo true. I can get someone to look up (rare though to even get that far) and show them 4 plane trails side by side between rainclouds, ask where they think the water went, explaining it has to be freezing cold for contrails to form and it can't be freezing cold for contrails and hot at the same time to evaporate water from clouds--I get blank looks like I'm speaking a foreign language.

There is just ONE thing that doesn't add up with the "chemtrail conspiracy"... if this happens in every country in the west (i don't know what country you're from but chemtrail conspiracy freaks are both in Europe and America)... over every city etc etc. Wouldn't that mean that THOUSANDS of pilots, maintainers and people would know about it?
