@joshfoster07 We got pet dogs because we NEEDED the help the wolves could provide us. Because we needed them to hunt for us. They wheren't pets to begin with, they where living 'tools'. Later when we started on agriculture we then needed dogs to guard our property and herd our animals. Again they where living 'tools'. It's first thousands of years after the first wolf was tamed that we actually got *pet* dogs, becuase they where domesticated but we didn't really need them. *To be continued*

Actually though, spidermonkeys are adapted to live allmost exclusively in trees. They rarely come down the ground except if there is some good ripe fruit there they can't find in the treetops. Its just their natural instinct that they feel more comfortable when climbing than on the ground. When you climb that redicolusly well, its not any more impractical either really ;)
