man Robinson was always somethin' else. Amazing athlete & player...but a good heart. This man is a great role model. not that athletes need to be that, but #50 always inspired me off the court as well as on
As a life long Spurs fan, the Admiral is what started it all for me. Truly one of the best athletes to ever play. To this day, I've not seen a big man that could handle the ball on break literally crossing up guards, shoot, post up, block shots, pass. You name it, he could do it all! An all around great human being on and off the court! We miss you 5-0 !!!!
I always thought David had one hell of a body. Strong, but also extremely athletic. Plus he just looks good, he could have been a model if he wanted to.
Speaking of his defense theres a video posted by tjhunt76 of him getting 8 blocks against the Bulls. Its a helluva performance he put on and displays alot of what he was capable of during his prime. He was a beast on D.
Wow! Thanks for this post. It is a shame that alot of younger people don't realize how much of a physical freak The Admiral was. A true legend on the court, even bigger off the court.
Thanks for the comment. I've done 2 for Timmy but unfortunately I had to take one down due to copyright problems with the song. I still have one up though. And I have one more for David too. Again thanks for the comment.
I dont know many 7ftrs that could run and be this quick. I watched DRob my entire life and when i see this guy move compared to the 7 footers that are playing now, theres no comparison. Olajuwon and Robinson were quick!
Watching this makes me appreciate Drob as a player even more. Great Video. Im glad I was able to see him play.
To the young NBA fans out there, keep in mind that this amazing video by Saibecc1, is but a small taste of the spectacular type of plays that The Admiral did on his great career. Its a shame that it is so dificult to get more material from this player.
I agree. I didnt just want to put videos out on him because hes my favorite player but also because I really didnt find anything on him(except for some broken clips). You can find videos for almost any NBA star you can think of on Youtube but David is one the stars(actually one of the greatest) that has next to nothing on him as far as highlights. He was incredible and I think people are missing out on how great he was. I also appreciate the comment too.
Its a shame that Robinson and Duncan didnt play together on their primes, like Stockton and Malone, and Jordan and Pippen. It would have been a nightmare to the rest of the league for at least a decade.
That putback at 0:59 was incredible. Whats amazing is that The Admiral at 35 years old (with a bad back), was still one of the most athletic 7 footers ever.
Appreciate the comment. You should check Kblaze's mixes on Tim Duncan. Kblaze' page is like an encyclopedia of whos who in the NBA. As far as David Robinson mixes there isnt much out there.
The Admiral!

Oh my god is The Admiral like the only man above 7 feet to do a breakaway 360 dunk in the NBA?

You should've seen him when he used to do the reverse alley oops. Those were amazing too. He was really gifted athletically.

At 1:30 Jordan had to pull his fat, wagging tongue back into his mouth! (no disrepect to MJ) ;D

At 2:55 Dave was looking like, "oh, were you trying to block me?"

Appreciate the comment. As many people have stated below, he's the reason I became a Spurs fan and an NBA fan as well.

those blocks specially the one on MJ's dunk were awesome. MJ wants to posterize D-Rob but it was MJ who was posterized via a rejection.
