Too bad, you Swedes don't give it a chance to be tested in war. . Your surroundings are so calm and peaceful that a wonderful opportunity to test them is lost. Beautiful jet though. Respect.

On second thoughts, you should lease some Gripens to US for just testing purposes. They're almost all the time warring so they could do the tests for you. :P

people should have the chance to take a seat with the pilot and exerience a plane like the gripen

I tend to agree with you, but these flying sculptures probably wouldn't exist without the basic human instinct to dominate and/or kill each other. Like video games, fighter planes are one of the *very* few good things that war has ever produced! Still, the price is too high, and for once, I'm not talking about price in dollars--and that's coming from someone with a lifelong fascination with fighter aircraft.

Last summer, when we had an airshow in Borås (Sweden) did this aircraft gived us a surprice when it flew over us (it came from behind) on maybe 150 meters.
