I love, love, love this! I like to add a little extra cayenne pepper because the spicy/tingly feeling you get in your throat is just amazing! Thanks, Hilah! <3
Hmm... I think she was trying to make Champurado? I could be wrong... but I've never seen my mother make Hot chocolate that way. Hmm... I shall have to ask my mum... This seems pretty interesting to make.
@Maylett91 Nope I take that back... she was trying to do the chocolate you can buy at a Mexican store (Or walmart) called "Chocolate Abuelita" but homemade style! Props to her, but she should have dropped some cinnamon into the pot... or else it just taste to much like regular hot chocolate, but hey it's still good!
My son Jonas drinks a hot chocolate (two cups) every moring before he goes to school.
We are fans of hot. At our last US vacation, that took us to Denver for railfanning, we purchased four bottles of "Franks Hot Sauce". Its a really cool sauce, we use it for many things, also for Baked Beans!!! If you crack the Heinz recepie you will be our hero!!!
But I think your chocolate is just too hot for school days. Regards, Markus
@JoMaVEX I love Franks! And baked beans! I used to add minced garlic to my baked beans when I stayed in London. Yum! I'll see what I can do for you. :)
Hot chocolate is good in any form. Always loved it just a bit more with some whipped cream on top! Marshmallows play a close second to the whipped cream.
Hi Hilah! :D I like your personality in this video compared to the other ones! This one seem more natural. I would <3 to cook with you one day and make hot chocolate! :D
@TheSweetestVegan It's called a lens flare filter, but yeah, I'm not sure if imovie has it. Seemed like it has a lot of different filters, but you know I can't figure it out!
I am sending my letter of praise and thanks for your recipe. I just made some hot chocolate at church last night from a can and I know this would have been much better,I made it for the children and they would not have known the difference, all they wanted was the mini marsh mellows.
ur awesome i subbed!

@Maylett91 Yes, homemade Abuelita, exactly. I did use cinnamon, though - maybe you missed it?

Yummeh! This reminds me of the time I made chocolatey cupcakes with cinnamon, cayenne and serrano chili peppers. Hotness, and hawtness! =)

Hi,
i once tasted a similar cold version of this, called "native american love drink" with a little cayenne in it....
but this hot spiced version is just right for the season right now as the winter decides to finally hit europe...brrrr
and with all the "heat" in it, maybe hubby and wifey will get some different ideas besides sitting around and watching TV... ;-P
Joe from Germany :-))
