I think Christian was a much better Tom Riddle. He is more convincing when it comes to the charming and manipulative Tom Riddle. Frank could've been better in another part. I'm not saying he isn't good. He's just not fit as Riddle.

When Christian is Riddle you can see that he is this person who wraps people around his finger. This "evil" person with a facade.

If Frank does this you can't tell.

Tom Riddle (Voldemort) is described as being tall and handsome with pale skin, jet black hair and having good looks that would charm anyone. I've never trusted a pretty face. Look at the scene between him and Slughorn, you couldn't tell what he was thinking...there was something ...lurking there.. the new Tom was more suitable. And hey, thumbs up if you want J.K. Rowling to write a book about the life and transformation of Tom Riddle. I'd pay 300 pounds for such a novel

I was quite sad when I heard that Christian Coulson wouldn't be playing Tom Riddle in HBP. He is a gorgeous actor and Tom is described as being really good looking.

BUT then I saw Frank Dillane and I was shocked. That kid has it all: the looks, the charms, the unnerving mysterious/creepy quality,... And what a screen presence! It's quite astonishing.

IMO Mr Coulson shouldn't be upset about being replaced as Mr Dillane was by far a better choice.
