Old video - but anyway - I thought the responses were completely justified. Given the extremist views presented by Ian, I thought it was only natural for it to be met by resistance - obviously he intended people to interact with his views, since it was a video that he uploaded on Youtube. All in all, your argument of him being "in the moment" is irrelevant. He should take responsibility for his actions, and just because he paints himself as a victim does not give him the right to discriminate.
So yeah... just watched ian and... what's the problem???
Dude he's obviously a gay guy who hasn't come to terms with being gay yet.
The fact he even thinks about guy on guy shit is probably (atleast to me) a good example of being gay.
I'm a straight guy... straight as they come and the thought of penis in Ahole to me is just kind of gross (unless it's a chick but even then I'm still not really into it).
This kid is gay... atleast I"m pretty sure so get over it gay community he's one of urs
I didn't watch ian even but this girl seems like a fairly logical person.
She's not really taking a stance on anything but that's pretty much what you have to do nowadays since it's hard not to offend anyone.
Anyways cute geeky looking glasses girl don't worry about what people say and post and realize that 90% of the world people are total fucking idiots and aren't worth your time trying to argue with anyone.
As a straight person, you are absolutely less impacted by homophobia than gay people.
This does not make you more objective. It means that you approach the subject from a different perspective and with a different bias...and, I would add, with considerably less experience of and expertise in the matter.

Don't listen to this chick, she's trash and nothing but a cum dumpster
Homosexuality is a sick perversity, a choice made by the deranged who were too weak to be men or too ugly to be women.. usually the bullied, hated kids at school turning fear and disgust of their oppressors into sick lust in the form of submissiveness. Never trust the homosexual, don't let him into your home and fuck the cunts up when u get the chance.
@Meph Ok, im not weak, i was never bullied, and im the kinda kid that is friendly to every1 at school and every1 is friendly back. No it wasn't a choice by me, i'm not attarcted to women, that's it. Never was, don't think i ever will be. Try to research a subject before you comment on it.
The thought process of Ian's mind is that of a psychopath. He's view of the world is higly personalized...and...Ian makes statements that he genuinly believes to be 'foundation truths'. Just watch his video titled 'the path' and you will make the same conclusion.
I dont mind that he said what he thought, its just how it was delivered. Frankly I don't think he was as rational as he could have been, because if you look at his eyes and how he talks he struggles sometimes, he blinks a lot, etc. I don't think that he was right at all to say the things he did, saying that gay's are afraid to have sex with a woman, things like that. And I think that he should take that video off, I know some gay people and they're really cool.
For sure, some of things Ian said were a bit harsh.
My point is, however, that he tried to do some self-reflection that resulted in some too-honest and discriminating remarks- but I believe he was well-intentioned. I think Ian is a good guy. Not some homophobic "cracked out propheciess" monster.
I'm not saying Ian is a bad guy, not at all. But what I am saying is that he could have wording things better, even if it is his experiance. Because someone was bound to spaz on something.
Yeah, but he could have been more subtle --then again, who gives? I think you should say what you think. He wasn't trying to be offensive, but being honest; but I felt slightly offended at what he said and I can see how others could be too. C'est la vie
Ian said a lot in his video, almost too much to get your mind around, so your response here is as good as one can get in describing that. Good post. Good discussion and glad peopele are actually using YouTube to dialogue!

I'm sorry but Ian said homosexuality is the cause of humanity falling into chaos.
Sounds like a blow to homosexuality to me, either that or one homophobic story.
Fan or not it is safe to say that he crossed a line and its a shame to see people like you backing what he said up.

If you don't realize that his comments were homophobic, you don't understand what the word "homophobic" means.

Often, we get too caught up in our own sensitivities to be objective.
Perhaps, as a heterosexual, I am less impacted by homosexual comments than homosexuals.
I appreciate your consideration though, and if you think Ian's video crossed the line, then, perhaps it did.

Maybe Ian should speak for himself, if he's got anything to say. If he hasn't, then no problem as long as he has not harmed another person.
