Nice footage!!! I love that the gopro makes vista shots waaay cheaper to get and the quality is certainly good enough to cut together with HD.

Does anybody have a clue how to get it from 179 degrees to 127? I don't have a notion how to change mine to the "R" settings that I see people chatting incessantly about - my excuse is that I trained in film so I'm a bit of a luddite when it comes to technology : )

Except it really isn't, I just did a little bit of research on the Muvi Atom, first off, it's not even HD, you get 640 x 480 which is, well, in this day of age... crap.

It's no where near the amount of wide angle of the GoPro. The GoPro having about 160 degree wide angle, and the Muvi Atom boasting a huge 72 degrees, almost 100 less than the GoPro.

Still images, GoPro is 5 MP, Muvi Atom is 2 MP.

I have 3 go pros hero cameras not strapped to a plane but my 2 race bikes and one hd on my helmet , the video quality is beyond excellent and the sound is awesome if set on lo because of the vibration , the person stating that it is probably "crappy" should buy one and not just think hd is better because they look and sound the same, and this is coming from some one who has 3 and I had the hero cams for a few years , and to be honest I think the hd is a waste of money, and when there on a tr

hahah blinking mode is actually time lapse mode haha leave it in a steady spot for a period of time then convert all your single pictures to a single file and place in the timeline of your editing program and press play and you have a time lapse

After watching a million reviews and feedback about such cameras, I must say this one is the safest bet for a range of reasons, such as reliability, user friendliness, image quality etc etc. And NO, I'm not selling them lol. I had decided to buy a contour 1080p, now I'm thinking twice. It turns out that the contour has some quality control probs, and needs quite some effort to convert the files for use.

@cessna18284 the reason it doesn't look that great is because its focusing on the wheels because they are the easiest thing auto focus on. I think this is the very wide angle setting "r4" which is 720p. I would try r5 which is 1080p and zooms in bit. you prob only see a tiny bit of the wheels on that setting

That is an AMAZING video! I've always been interested in remote controlled aircraft/helicopters and I've seen the GoPro used and I was wondering if it was possible to combine the two. Judging by your video, it sure is, and the results are amazing!

I never did get into the remote-controlled aircraft hobby, but more into powersports, and I'm seriously considering the GoPro HD for my ATV, jet ski and snowmobil (not sure about low temperatures though). Thanks for the great video, keep it up!

Yes, the camera has a flip setting when it is upside down.

hey man, i have this camera, but i dont like the suction cup that comes with it, its not that strong, so i have to use the adhesive mounts. They are bloody strong, do u have any idea how u can get them off at all?

I used the suction cup mount on my motorcycle and it worked great. The surface you put the suction cup on has to be smooth. I need to buy some extra mounts. Once you stick them on something it is hard to pull it off without messing up the sticky tape.
