Do you use an algoritm to finish these or do you actually solve it? I think it sort of takes the fun out of it if you just follow a pattern. I like to actually look at it as a puzzle and try to solve it in as few moves as possible.

@MistaOppritunity very good point. i used to just follow an algorithm. the only fun part would be trying to get faster and beat your own records. now 3 years have passed and thankfully ive forgotten pretty much every single algorithm. some are muscle memory, but now i solve (or at least try to) with logic and problem solving.

I Just did a series of cubing vidoes. I can't tell you how pissed off I was when I finished my v-cube 7 and the battery died in my camera before the last to turns. and my v-cube 5 solve, the timer didn't even start.

yesterday I found dads old rubiks cube. it looks really weird and doesn't have stickers.the colors (also the stickers but still not stickers) are like some mosaics tiles glued on the cube and they're all glued wrong. some tiles are even gone or crushed.it's about 25-30 years old cube.if you compare it to my 2010 rubiks cube,it's just a piece of shit! it twists as bad as my grandma and the opposite colors of the cube's yellow and blue,green and orange,red and white! why did i write this anyway?

But then I question if you stopped the clock because you messed up or something... and I only question this because at 2:22 the "Low Battery" message on your ipod touch disappears and the lighting changes.
