I KNEW I remembered this song. I remembered it in association with the 1993 Heidi film... but I watch it years later and no song like that is on there. But I don't remember this version of Heidi at all. Maybe they used this song for promotional commercials for the 1993 version?

Why did we get so many dubbed kids programmes in the 70's/early 80's in the U.K.? For some reason I found this show extremely bizarre, but nothing compares to the Goyan nightmare that was stop-motion animated version of 'The Moomins'.

It's because they were cheap I think. Some of the Czech things we got - insane! And you're right the Moomins were a Goyan nightmare of the first order!

Surely this is the best known version of Heidi internationally, the definitive version IMHO but there are so few extracts from it on here. Very strange. Also weird to think Katia Polletin and Kathi Bohm are now in their 40s. Btw the actor who played Goat Peter was Stefan Aspergaus (or something similar). Maybe Nick Berg Barnes did the English voiceover.

@hainey77 Stefan Arpagaus was his name.

I often wonder what Katja is up to today? I remember she had a hard time back then, because the kids in her school were jealous because she got that role, and were mean to her.

From what I understand, Stefan was a farmers- boy; pretty similar to the Peter he played in that series. Down to Earth kind of guy.

Of course, legendary Rene Deltgen died shortly after filming was done...

Excellent series my wife has it on DVD. I remember watching some episodes cause I liked heidi and clara!

Heidi was Katia polletin born in march 1967

Clara was Kathi Böhm , Kati Böhm , or known as Katharina Böhm was born in switzerland in 1964,

Goat peter was Nick Berg Barnes born in London dec 1967.
