  • Sound quality is horrible, and I have mine turned all the way up.

  • i met this asshole he is everything unamerican

  • Thanks to all the tea partying faux news junkies for electing this pile of excrement.

  • It's funny how he's preaching about respect, and at the same time calling an officer an idiot! I guess it's only fitting that Kasich would call someone an idiot considering what an expert he is on the topic of idiots! What an arrogant idiot he is!

  • gov kasich is a lowlife bottom feeder skum bag!

  • "Clients" What a doorknob. He makes Rod Blagojevich look like Churchill.

  • I wonder how he behaved while having to stand up in front of the judge during his court visit :)

  • Kasich can suck my dick

  • Yeah think about respect, respect for someone who is doing their job. Sickens me this man is now the governor of my state.

  • Misleading title is misleading.

  • Loud brash arrogant talk is an absolutely deplorable tactic that's so very unfortunately all too common these days with high profile politicians, especially the campaigning ones. What is wrong with these people? SHAME on them for addressing THEIR public in that manner! They act like nasty little children. Their behavior is uncivil and unacceptable for anyone hoping to become a publicly elected official, and I only hope that in the following elections the public will choose more wisely!

  • kasich is a neo-con & a teabag kook too, ha ha he got his ass handed to him last night o sb-5 wtf were you peeps thinking in ohio when you elected that jackoff ?

  • HA HA. You lost SB5. Forget being president. FUCK YOU!

  • the fact that he calls a policeman's citizen's clients is revolting. He admitted guilt and if I pass an emergency vehicle and use the excuse that I didn't see it, I would still be guilty and if I didn't appear in court, there would be a warrant out for my arrest. the officer upholding the law isn't an idiot.

  • embarrassing to watch because I live in this state -

  • Comment removed

  • Last time I checked mr Kasich a CRIMINAL OFFENDER as you were, violating the rules, is not a "client." IDIOT!

  • Thanks to the recently elected arrogant loudmouth alliance of Kasich&Boehner, I'm ashamed to call myself an Ohioan...

These guys are out of control ;)

  • @011heinz not so much boehner, just kasich. I don't think he's republican I don't think he's democrat I think he is tyrant.

  • Comment removed

  • Wow, what an absolutely disgusting display of unfettered loudmouthed arrogance!

So since when do some publicly elected officials get off thinking than they're of a special status beyond that of the mere public servant and public employee that they are? lol

  • I heard he is making special camps just for Jewish people with the money he saves by getting rid of the cops.

  • People don't respect a governor who criticizes public employees for doing their jobs.

  • Pure ARROGANCE. Clearly, this one who believes he's ABOVE the law. Or the Law applies to everyone but HIM.

  • This will be defeated but nice try Republicans since you are now American's new terriorist! and yes, we have you on our crosshairs jus like Palin

  • I personally HAVE been stopped plenty of times by idiot policemen, so I fully sympathize. Go Kasich!

  • ....I really wish people would stop this fireman hero worshiping bullshit,...my son is a fireman/paramedic, and it disgusts him how some people want to make it sound like fireman run into burning buildings 9 times a day, carrying 5 little kids out each time,.....sure the job can be dangerous, but so can a lineman's, or a construction workers,or a machinists, or a roofers. We all contribute to society. Stop making it look like some are more important than others

  • This man is a blabbering fool. Verbally attacking the police because he got a ticket, FOR DOING SOMETHING WRONG! He speaks of respect, how about giving that officer a little respect?

  • Comment removed

  • Wahh. I got a ticket so that means that O'bama doesn't treat me with respect. Kasich is an IDIOT!

  • How has this guy been in office for so long in Ohio? What's wrong with Ohio?

  • I bet that idiot who pulled him over voted for him, lol.

  • @DJasmin98433 I bet he won't vote for Kasich again, or for any Republican in the near future.

  • @DJasmin98433 Awesome comment, lol.

  • Man, I was going 80 in a 55 the other day and this IDIOT cop pulled me over...gave me a ticket too! What an IDIOT! Doesn't he know that I'm above the law?

....Hmmmm, I guess it doesn't work for me either. LOL

  • Recall,recall,recall!!!!

  • This is your typical piece of shit! This racist idiot is from Pennsylvania. He should of stayed his shameless ass in Pennsylvania.

  • well I agree it appears that Kasich is just another fine example of a politician who speaks out of both sides of his mouth...I guess he learned this from our most esteemed president, Mr. Obama...

  • @CHICOB4261

ALL politicians talk out of both sides of their mouth. That's how they got to where they are.

  • Until Ohioans get over their homophobia and fear of legalized abortion, we're going to get more of the same. Wake up, people!

  • ok I agree with the Gov. that public employees need to be responsive to the people that actually pay the salaries. So my Q. is this: What would the Gov's reaction be if he was locked out of his house and the cops were called. And after establishing that he was the owner he was arrested. I completely see his point. I wish he would acknowledge what the rest of the public goes through.

  • Will someone tell me why is his Idiot our Governor?

  • @ospjh

Because other IDIOTS voted for him.

  • Comment removed

  • @ospjh This out-of-control loud braying jackass is now our governor, thanks to the idiots in this state who voted him into office. SHAME ON YOU, OHIO! :)

  • this man never held a private sector job successfully (lehman bros was his venture into private sector, after lack-luster house career). He left first wife for a pharmacutical heiress then positioned himself for whitehouse, except his own party did not want him...now he is doing the billionaires axe-work so that he might be considered for senate or white house run..for someone who wants to shrink govt most of his life was spent working for govt....dad was a postman too..these phony hypocrites

  • did you ever have a governor thats an IDIOT

  • he's using strong language to get his point across. Basically he's saying people in public service need to treat people with respect.

  • @csplendrig: No he's saying far worse than calling for respectful public servants. His main (and evidence-free) claim is that the officer was stupid. But JK can back this up only by implying that the officer failed to read JK's intention to obey the law.

I'm from Columbus, and have driven on the same busy road. Did JK became distracted while driving? I've recently been pulled over for the same infraction. I treated the cop respectfully, and didn't deny my guilt. The guy gave me only a warning.

  • Comment removed

  • I've mostly had good experiences with the police but it's certainly conceivable that there may be a few bad apples out there. And this is what Kasich seems to be alluding to here. He used a personal example to get a point across. Was the cop really stupid? Who knows, but most of us probably have come across at least one stupid cop in our days and can relate to the kind of frustration that can result from having to deal with them. I say let's work to increase the good/bad cop ratio

  • Comment removed

  • @csplendrig: Fair enough. Like you, I've also encountered bad cops. But you give JK too much credit. If he was trying this anecdote to call for more courteous state employees, he utterly failed. Kasich provided NO evidence that his cop was ever anything other than professional. Moreover, the story indicates that it was Kasich, not the cop, who was the "idiot" government employee in the story. That's why the governor later apologized to the cop.

  • @ghettofreeze Point well taken. What seems to have happened here is that the governor felt that he should have been treated differently than the average citizen. I have been pulled over before and given a ticket. I have also been pulled over when I had actually done something wrong: like turning around in one of those little places along the freeway that says for"{ emergency use only" and didn't get a ticket, just a warning. He's not superior. He got a ticket because he did something wrong.

  • I can totally empathize w/ Kasich. A lot of police officers enjoy the sense of power they feel over private citizens, and they like to exert it as often as they can. It's called "heavy badge syndrome." The way I see it, if a city has its patrolmen & women parked alongside the roads in their squad cars just waiting to ticket people, then either that city has too many police officers, or those officers aren't doing their job TO PROTECT & SERVE the populace.

  • Kasich, you're a friggin tool. Traffic laws are in place to prevent accidents and to conduct transit in an efficient manner. That police officer which you defame here with your reference, might of ended up having to pull your potentially lifeless body out of your wrecked car, as the result of an accident you could very well cause with this "holier-than-thou" attitude. Either man up and do your job as your constituents here in Ohio expect you to, or go home with my foot in your ass at the polls.

  • Love it. Kasich has a video ON YOUTUBE on his own state website, and the first related video is this. Fucking hilarious.

  • @emoasfxck it's really not a bad video though. Why would he shy away from something he said? He's saying that police officers need to treat people with respect

  • @csplendrig There's a difference between saying that and calling them idiots. And this isn't even the douchiest thing he's ever said/done. My comment was merely pointing out that this isn't exactly a flattering video to be on his website, even if it's indirectly.

  • There SHOULD be a warrant out for his arrest.

  • Although I am a democrat and I do not agree with his policies, I think he has a point. Specifically, that cities are abusive in their ticketing policies, using fines and such to raise revenue, rather than to protect the public good. I think he was using this as an example of the deterioration between government and the public trust, and it just did not come across well.

  • @jsymons1985 It's not hard to follow the laws and ignorance is no excuse. Nobody likes being cited but when you break the law there has to be a consequence. I suppose we could make every offence jailable but that would ultimately mean all law-abiding tax payers would pay for the lapses in judgement of all others. Should we all pay for someone's hands-free cell phone violation or should the IDIOT who broke the law pay for it? Or should we simply have no laws?

  • @msrebelnardcore Okay, but in the not so distant past, you would generally get a warning for offenses that now carry huge fees (Changes since 1980 can be seen this is in the NYC, Chicago, LA, New Haven code for instance). Perhaps because the original intent of the law was to protect the public good, rather than simply to collect revenue for the state. As the drive toward generating revenue increases, it puts public interest in a secondary position to maximizing finances.

  • @msrebelnardcore Also, many of the laws do not increase public safety, intersections with traffic light cameras overall have a greater number of accidents when compared to the same intersections before installing the cameras. Slamming on breaks to avoid a $250 fee may have something to do with this. Obviously the law is important, and those who violate them should be subject to a punishment-I think we can all appreciate this. But how can you not see how incentivising penalties is dangerous?

  • How can we keep this guy in office? He clearly knows better than everyone. Time to serve him his walking papers.

  • How's that republican vote working out for you, working class Buckeyes!!

  • RECALL THIS TURD!!!

  • this piece of shit is one of satan's diciples, sent to destroy whats left of the working class!! i'd like to see this selfish bastard drive a snow plow to keep citizens safe, or enter a burning building to save a childs life, or risk his life to protect the law, on 40 thousand a year!! this scumbag in a suit and tie is a prime example of whats ruining this great country: bad politicians!! no on issue 5!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • this guy is turning out to be some serious scum baggage. worse than the typical politician.

  • Thanks Gov Kasich for it is the business owners who make 250k or more a year that gives the 9 to 5 worker a job. by 530 they go home, log onto youtube, complain about the same principles that gave them their computer. You should really stick to watching football, listing to music, and worrying about who is going to win american ideal. leave the politics, business and laws to the "RIGHT WING RADICAL ELITES" who never leaves work, listens to talk radio, and worries about how to hire more of YOU..

  • poor white trash ohio.you deserve your hero.

  • Fucking thug. Just a bunch of radical thugs.

Vote the Teanuts out in 2012.

  • I would call this guy an idiot, but he knows exactly what he's doing while he and his deep-pocketed lobbyists take more & more. Some day the shits going to hit the fan & I hope it all blows back in his face.

  • This guy kasich came to ohio on a whim and was purposely put in but not voted in. kasick wants to hurt ohioans real bad by screwing the middle class and he is for ccw in bars and restaurants, there goes our buisnesses closing up and more fear among ourselves I think that is what they want to turn us against eachother

  • The real idiot's are my fellow ignorant statesmen who voted for this asshole. You have no reason to vote republican if you are making under $250k a year.

  • I hope the next time our governor needs help that he's lucky enough to have one of these "idiots" see him.

  • John Kasich you and I are not a clients of this country, we are citizens. America is a country not a business. This is a democracy not a corporation. Don't blame the Catholic Church, Croatia, or anyone else for the fact your family was wiped out in a car accident. Being a greedy, corrupt, mean petty bully of a politician isn't going to bring your parents back from the dead.

  • @windsofsolaris lol i agree hes an angry man. they were talking about that on channel 10 website today.

  • Kasich is an ABOMINATION to the state of Ohio. Strickland may NOT have been great but by god, Kasich is a trainwreck. The man wants to do away with unions, collective bargaining, yet raise the salaries of ALL HIS staffers. Fiscal conservancy my A55. The guys a complete joke. How he got voted in astonishes me.

  • A broken clock is right twice a day. Cops are idiots. Every totalitarian regime is called a police state for a reason---whether it is a capitalist police state like America and Nazi Germany or a Communist police state like the USSR and North Korea.

  • @perdondaris I don't like Kasich or his comments but if you're not out of Junior High yet you have an excuse for such a statement.

Otherwise, you're an idiot that wouldn't know a police state from a hole in the ground. You very obviously don't know much about Nazi Germany, the USSR, or North Korea, or what a police state is. You think if a cop tells you to go stand over there instead of where you want to stand, it's a police state.

  • Even though he's not as publicized as Wisconsin's Gov., he is even a bigger douchebag.

Of course, all Republicans have some level of douchebagginess.

Nice voting, Ohio. You've elected the world's biggest dick.

  • the rich are above the law.are you rich?

  • and this is the crap we have to deal with in OHIO..whose idea was it to vote him in again..

  • Police officers for the most part are Idiots in this day and time, they have turned into nothing more than Fee Grabbers, wanting $125 because your doing 5mph over the speed limit on a divided 4 lane interstate. They dont want to answer normal calls, or spend any time investigating burglerys because there's no money in it for them. They are instucted that in order to secure there job, salarey's and new cars and equipment, they need to be giving citiations so it generates dollars.

  • Republicans are never wrong, so it must be true. Just ask Bush, when asked if he could think of anything he ever made a mistake his face went blank ...again.

  • Oh, if only that cop had arrested Kasich instead...then maybe we Ohioans wouldn't be in this situation.

Ending collective bargaining? You're the idiot, Kasich. Cops are gonna be LOOKING for excuses to arrest you now.

  • Actually I was referring to the Russian Revolution when the Bolsheviks (poor working class were being bulldozed over by the Czarists (the rich and all too powerful governing body who turned a deaf ear to them). The Hammer and Sickle may have been too vague.

I think the GOP needs to change their names to the LEEC..."Let 'Em Eat Cake" Regime. And we all know what happened to Louie and Marie.

  • If the shoe OOPS!!! symbom fits . . .

  • quack quack quack = john kasich= joke. Seriously this fellow man is a very poor speaker and his choice of words are very elementary . Get this street slang clown out of ohio.

  • What a disgrace to Ohio

  • Doesn't that cop know that John Kasich is above the law? Didn't he recognize him? What an idiot.

  • Hes full of CRAP!!!!!! Unbelievable!Hes full of CRAP!!!!!! Unbelievable!Hes full of CRAP!!!!!! Unbelievable!Hes full of CRAP!!!!!! Unbelievable!

  • Hes full of CRAP!!!!!! Unbelievable!

  • This guy is an absolute fucking JOKE, we need to Impeach his ass! Obama is destroying jobs MY ASS! Destroying unions which is what his bill is set out to do WILL destroy jobs! Just another way to separate the rich from the poor.

  • Oh and did i mention that my dad is also a police officer? as far as i know my dad isn't an idiot he went through 4 years of college. yeah pretty average but hes the smartest guy to me and i look up to him. my dad is already working 3 jobs to keep my family up and running because he just gets payed "oh so much" now. kasich needs to realize that governor is important, but it's not a pass to do whatever you damn well please.

  • Wow my mom is a teacher. My mom said that she could retire in 5 years but in one swift movement by the "idiot" john kasich she has to work another 14. You know how that affects me and my family?I will be gone and out of college and i will probably have a family. Im 14. My 10 year old brothers will also be out of college while my mom is still working when she doesn't even need to provide for us anymore! Teachers work hard and deserve to have sick days and be recognized. thumbs up if u agree

  • How about wearing that hammer and sycle right out front where everyone can see it Kasich?

  • @TheIhave3cats

Don't you mean the union busting swastika of Hitler?

  • How about wear that hammer and sycle where everyone can see, it Kasich?!

  • Reminds me of some "Jungle Love" Lyrics by Morris Day and the Time, "Somebody hand me a mirror!" Governor Kadahfi, opps, Kasich, needs some mental help!

  • This dumb asshole only recently apologized once this video surfaced. We all know what he thinks about those who put the uniform on and protect his sorry ass every day. Let's recall this jackass!

  • WOW!! Kashich you're an idiot!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • WOW !!!!! You're an idiot!

  • He must've been driving the salt truck.

  • You're the MAN Kasich!!!

Don't Stop with teachers either. The whole government should lessen their pay.

If you disagree with me then you're a government employee and don't want to see your exuberant pensions and pay go down the shitter but in reality it needs to be done.

  • fuck you kasich

  • Nfd55

Eats cheetos out of his moms butthole and takes it in the butt

  • Why is there no audio on this video?

  • If the Republican members of the State of Ohio legislature are wise they will distance themselves from this IDIOT! As a matter of fact, hopefully someone in the Ohio legislature will call for his impeachment, Otherwise watch for a democratic sweep in the next two elections.

  • this should be on CNN

  • It is really hard for me to understand how an elected politic could belittle another goverment employee in public. Does he believe his position allows him that right? He might have thought it did but all he did was prove to Ohio residents what a idiot he is. Yes, Kasich I would honestly think about just how big of an ass I made of myself. To criticize a patrolman for enforcing the law. I am in disbelief and devastated for the family members of the victims the law was made for! What a LOSER U R!

  • Wow, what an idiot.....

  • Wow! This guy will single handedly destroy Ohio and he makes no bones about doing it. His disrespect to this Officer is proof.

  • omg

  • I smell a revolution!

  • What an arrogant piece of shit. John Kasich is going to fuck us all over, vote this fucker out on 2014.

  • stop shooting the messenger...the cop was doing his job. The cop didn't make the law, he just enforced it.

  • He is such a LIAR. He doesn't respect his employees or his Constituents or his own State. He is Wall Street NYC all the way.. even lived there until he was elected.

Damn home ownership laws. He is also a Madoff buddy... he knows not of the working people or working class in Ohio, including Law Enforcement, and Fire/Rescue.

  • as a member of the privileged elite he doesn't have to obey laws he can just lie like most of these politicians do

  • want to make waves for this guy? call 1.888.218.five931 Monday through Friday 8:30am to 5pm Whatever party you support...Is this really the guy you want in our great state of OHIO? Call 'em Thanks

  • Now who's the idiot, Kasich? Seriously people, he has to be related to the Bush family somehow.....

  • @sailorjerry123 Unfortunately, the bushes are smarter, yet relations????

  • Have you ever voted for a politician who was an IDIOT? HE'S AN IDIOT!! I'm ashamed to say that I voted for this JERK! Good luck with the police from here on out IDIOT!!

  • Does anyone have a link to the police dash-board video of this incident?

  • This Kasich is something else. Waving his American flag and driving a Toyota. Would be terrible if his accelerator stuck. NOT!

  • He has his suit and tie backwards, for him it should be brown suit along with brown shirt and black tie, think about it

  • We need a RECALL or IMPEACHMENT for this "GUY"

  • @wolfvane72 He"s a elite, has no idea that what he said is wrong, nor do he care...YES Impreachment...How can we make it happen?

  • @TheGrace2all We need to contact our State Reps and tell them that he needs to be impeached or recalled. Especially if you have a democrat for a Rep. Pass the word on...The more people who know about this and do something to contact the reps, the more likely they are to listen. So even if the rep is a republican, if the constituents are complaining, they will more likely listen because they want to be reelected.

  • watch the video again, it was 1/2 way around a curve.

like all people 2% are idiots.

  • I did not listen to how the police officer spoke with him, but folks, don't we have a lot more issues in the State of Ohio to fix caused by Taxin' Teddy and his predecessors?

  • He's the idiot, and the Ohio voters who elected him. He turned down 400 million for a high speed rail project that would have helped his so called clients. Listen changing the voters into clients doesn't make you a Hip new Governor it makes you an office manager. And if government is now to be run like a business, we want our money back.

  • Since when is a guy who breaks the law a client of the police?? More proof that this asshole is totally out of touch. According to news reports he plead guilty to the charge. This asshole will only make me donate money and time and effort to the Ohio Democrats. Lets get rid of this piece of shit and make him a one term governor.

  • @gretchen6999 Make him a one MONTH governor.

  • @wolfvane72 LOVE THIS IDEA!!!

  • Thanks for the video. I love the video itself, but Kasich is an idiot himself. He thinks the rules dont apply to him as so do many other politicians.

  • Kasich's body guards are State Troopers also.... and he is trying to disolve their bargaining unit (FOP, AFSCME) as state employees (oh, Deputy Sheriffs and Municipal Police Officers also).

  • wow Kasich is the idiot!!!!

  • However, they also have the unique role of being arbiters of force, so they have much more room to make mistakes. They generally don't, but their capacity to be limitlessly aggressive makes his example particularly relatable.

  • And you can't fail to acknowledge that state workers, whether teachers, postal workers, regulators, etc. are seriously arrogant in comparison to private sector workers who are more prone to being disciplined/losing their job. Treating someone poorly in the private sector can lead to loss of a customer. Paying for public goods is compulsory. Police officers have the explicit role of being enforcers of good, and are also faced with miles more scrutiny, so they tend to be LARGELY good people.

  • @tjagolf33 You think that firefighters are arrogant too? You think risking their lives to save your dog is a sign of arrogance? You think that the people working to protect you and educate your children are arrogant? You are clearly as out-of-touch as Kasich. This cop never demanded an apology, nor did he do anything wrong by pulling Mr. Kasich over. He was doing his job. Being an elected official, Kasich should have set a good example by yielding to an emergency vehicle since it's the law.

  • Relax, peeps. He was making a point about somthing but used a poor example.

Who hasn't been pissed about getting ticket?

  • @the82spartans My God !! Please tell me your kidding. J.K. "THE IDIOT"

  • @TheGrace2all -- No, I wasn't kidding that Kasich gave a poor example but again the main point is... who hasn’t been pissed over a traffic ticket at least once?

I agree that this is over the top and a poor use of words for Kasich. I would guess he will apologize.

  • Right-wingers are the first to come to the defense of police officers in terms of defending their integrity and ability to enforce the law. Ranting about a bad experience with a single out-of-line cop in order to articulate one's point in a speech to state workers is hardly disrespectful to the force at large. He didn't claim this behavior was typical of the force. He simply tried to tell a story that most people would be able to relate to and learn from. He could have just as easily made one up

  • This was clearly a hot-shot asshole cop who gets off on giving people a hard time. Surprising that the people who normally accuse most police officers of acting like this are suddenly rushing to their defense. Besides, the cop was NOT mentioned by name and was NOT called out--the story was only used as an example of how not to treat the citizens you're serving. The only reason this has become anything is become the same asshole cop is demanding a public apology for something said in a private.

  • @tjagolf33

It's been proven that the police officer was very respectful, get your story straight!!!!

  • @tjagolf33 not so idiot.................

  • He's making a speech about government employees having to act more cordially to the taxpayers, and he brings a little anecdotal example about a cop who acted like an idiot. The cop DID act like an idiot. Who says "show up for court or there'll be a warrant for your arrest" to somebody who committed a minor traffic violation? Furthermore, his refusal to accept Gov. Kasich's apology over the phone and demanding that he do so in person exemplifies the exact type of cop that everybody hates.

  • @tjagolf33 umm... that's the law. The officer was just relating what the law requires. It's not a threat, it's a reminder.

  • @tjagolf33 umm... that's the law. The officer was just relating what the law requires. It's not a threat, it's a reminder.

  • Bring back Strickland! I still can't believe this man was elected governor. I don't know him well enough to call him an idiot.

  • I agree with the Governor.

  • there is a video of the incident via dashboard camera. The original police vehicle was VERY visible (i.e. no tree coverage); Kasich has no excuse not to notice it. The law was made for the safety of police officers and he drove right by a fully marked police car with lights on. He's the idiot not the police officer.

  • @saywhatmachine

Does anyone have a link to the police dash video of this incident?

  • @saywhatmachine just to play 'devil's advocate', what's the link to the video, or the news report you saw the video on?

  • Son, that police officer's clients are the citizens of whatever district he serves. He would be giving improper customer service (and committing a dereliction of duty) if he let you break the laws of the citizens and in the process endanger them as well. You need to take a lesson from him and actually start serving your citizens. You are not and never will be above the law.

  • The only Idiot here is the one who's speaking, next time you need any police help, DIY you stupid Teabrat !!!

Thank you to the EPA person for exposing this fraud for the Idiot he is...

Listen you can hear Big Corporations and the Koch Bros telling him what to say next, loser...

  • The real idiot is the person from the EPA who decide to post this video. How dumb are you? Have you ever worked for a corporation? How long would you keep your Job if you deliberately went out of your way to embarrass the CEO of the company? Do you think your coworkers who don't agree with you posting the video should suffer because you took it upon your self-righteous self to do so? Thank you for making the rest of us who have worked so hard on our jobs suffer for your 15 minutes of fame.
