A player named jfi4zamerak1, hacked the Jagex's Rune.dplirst servers, and started to shut down the game about late 5:30 eastern time, on February, 25th, 2009

I have seen him a few times in Runescape but he is very rare to see indeed. Jagex banned him but he used an Anti-banner, to un-bann himself for a period of 5 days, untill Runescape crashed his account, now rumor has it he goes by the name of jfi4zamerak2, and he is still out there, Jagex cannot crash that account because they have no proof

i remember that day. people were putting in some alt code to make the game crash. if u would have turned off public chat, the game wouldn't crash as much. people lost mills of stuff that day...

Runescape wasnt hacked there was a minor glitch in the last update which players could exploit so if you were pking and there were other people around you you simply used the alt thing they crashed but you stay logged in thats how so many people lost their items

The way the client is programmed, it wasn't the server crashing it was the client. jagex used there own Strings in the client and when you entered a variabled that wasn't located in the client it would give a t2 error? causing the client to crash and shut down. they fixed the glitch by using a different system

its no hacked. it is the alt+0181+enter=µ

that symbol made the crashing. people who used it will be banned, i think that half of rs will be banned
