you gotta remember kids, back in 99, camcorders with the zoom function was a blast to play with. its unfortunate someone was having tooooo much fun for such a epic classic live performance
@supermanJOEL2 you don't know anything about the spirit of those days. what the reason for them was to start making any music in the first place... it's about love and passion and you are an ignorant because you are too young to see behind the music
i hardly cant believe it myself but i just found myself on that video! i'm the guy in the white sweatshirt in the audience. that was agreat show. i knew that i've heard about the show the day before. i never heard about the band, but my friend jobst had the "in casino out" LP- we gave it a listen and drove to the show the next day. the band was great!
look at the guitar player's skinny arms. what a cokehead, i remember seeing him trembling, looking like he was about to overdose.
what an amazing band, i first saw these guys open up for Promise Ring at the Galaxy Club in 1998, Dallas, Texas.
Only the Jesus Lizard amazed me more than At The Drive In. The explosiveness of their music, I was really blown away. That was when they were dressing like rockabiliy emo greasers, before the crazy afros and tattoos. i thought they were gonna suck
Man I can't believe someone remembers Jesus Lizard. Awesome, where I am from people only remember great bands like Fugazi and Billy talent. Give you props man. I bet bands like "Drive like jehu" and "MC5" will remind you of At The Drive In and amaze you as well.
this is really great stuff. i first saw these guys in 1998. you did a great job capturing a phenomenal band. its such a shame they blew up and parted ways. the bass player to me was always the best one out of the group, he always had his stuff together. those other guys are clowns.
Thanks so so so much for posting this little treasure. Absolutely wonderful.

Deloused in the Comotorium (the first Mars Volta cd) is a concept album based on the guy he made that speach about

Why does it matter if he has skinny arms? Why does that make him a cokehead?
