we have the new black ops, had both bioshocks, he borrowed batman and same with fallout lol. im thinking either castelvania or this. splatterhouse looks like something hed like lol
hey you guys sound like you kno games, im trying to find something for my boyfriend for xmas and hes an extreme gamer on the PS3. could you guys give me some input? we already have games like dead space, COD 1,2,3, oblivion, marvel, ultimate alliance, assassins creed, etc he likes games like that, any suggestion?!
@brit2691 Maybe COD Modern-Black Ops, Bioshock 1-2, Fallout 3-New Vegas, Batman Arkham. Of course if he gets a kick out of retro gaming in the new age of course I recommend Ghostbusters, Brutal Legend, Castlevania Lords of Shadow and this Splatterhouse... but that's where my head is at.
@RJT0123456789 Right, and Johnny Cage isn't the epitome of cheesy acting. As for the music... If you listen to the original game, it's pretty much a Cannibal Corpse album done in Midi format. Metal music was the only way to go, besides metal rules!!!
hahaha... there is no acting in MK2 it's only fighting, fool. dont even try to act all aggressive on me, man i never attacked u personally and dont bother with the "i never attacked u personally" arguments waste of time. i dont care wat this might sound like to u go listen to Splatterhouse 3 music... that game was both gorey and scary... this game is plainly obvious it will be mindless violence and gore and the music will definitely kill any fear whatsoever. i have no problem wit metal
@RJT0123456789 I know I'm not as talented as you are at completely blowing a game off without even playing it let alone giving it a chance, but I can work at it. The original game was based on cheesy horror movies of the day, so if you were expecting some kind of Teen rated psychological thriller that analyzes the meaning of life... then none of the Splatterhouse games are for you. Last I checked video games were about escapism and having fun, but by your logic none of that is possible anymore.
r u fricken kidding me? like i said, look at SPLATTERHOUSE 3. that game is a fricken classic. the games before it of course did not have as much substance as the third game but they followed the same basic premise that had good gore and dark storyline i dont kno if they really were making it into a joke b/c the endings were sad in game 1 tho i could see it in game 2 but NOT game 3 (except for SOME parts) there might have been some jokes but the whole theme was supposed to be horror and gore
@RJT0123456789 SH3 is the epitome of mindless action, the story was great sure but game-play-wise it was just an average beat 'em up that encouraged players to "cheat" because of being unfairly difficult. The themes may have gotten more serious, but nobody is afraid of the Splatterhouse games anymore nor the movies that inspirited them. For the new game to "modernize" and become more frightening or eerie it would change the established feel and play like Manhunt or something.

@RJT0123456789 Let's find out, in the last trailer that I've seen they're paying alot more attention to elements of the original games.
