Thank you for the review. Have you had a chance to look at the Pioneer ddj-t1 ? Im deciding between DNMC6000 and the Pioneer ddj-t1 and soon to release Numark 4trak.
Hey, Excuse me for interrupting but thought this might be of help. I just purchased the 6000 after having checked both T1 and 6000 in person. The T1 has a few cool extras (fader start, bit more complex FX section) but way inferior connectivity, much higher price and a lot more plasticky feel to it. And while smaller in size, the 6000's jogs have a much nicer weighted feel to them too. IMO the higher price overall is not justified, and the Denon is a better purchase. Just my .02.
Thank you for the reply. I went to see the DDJ-T1 in person and I was not pleased at all. It felt like a toy. Especially those jog wheels. I ended up buying the DNMC6000.
@YouKnowThatYouDont yes there is a button on each side to alternate between deck A and C, and B and D, so you can keep 4 decks going at the same time !
Hey there, nice review. Quick question, what are the two songs playing at the start of the video? They are very catchy! Also I am not sure if you have had any experience with the Traktor Kontrol S4, but if you had, out of the Denon and the S4 which one would you recommend?
@mikecouk lol yeah I worded it wrong. Let me put it this way: What are the advantages or disadvantages(if any) of using Denon's own (external) mixer as opposed to Traktor's internal mixer?
And thanks for the quick replies! I have a VCI-100SE that I'm thinking about selling and either getting the Denon MC6000 or Traktor Pro S4.
@djedwnpk that question makes no sense as it's down to the soundcard in your computer. But to put it basically the Denon's mixer is very high quality, like all Denon mixers.
I noticed in some of the videos about Denon MC6000 that the volume LED on the controller does not match with Traktor's. It seems as if the controller's volume LED is is in the red (clipping) but on the Traktor software your below the red line. Is there a glitch/problem with the controller or Traktor mapping for the MC6000? This is a major problem for live gigs if there is...
@djedwnpk no not a bug, the mixer is in "physical" mode, and not usb / pc mode, with the output going to the back of the mixer and not back to the soundcard digitally. If you switched the 5000 back to USB mode, the mixer controllers would control traktor and thus be the same. hope that makes sense
how is it stand alone though does it reach the expectations of the reviews i hear that also stand alon eu can blug cd decks into it and everything rns in sync ?
@paulkash1 yes you can plug cd decks in, even with the computer off, and it will work as a normal mixer too, great if you computer crashes mid set :) It's an amazing controller, you won't be disappointed !
I need to get my scratch/ jog wheel sensitivity right...it just seems off, as well as maybe the fader, and I do have the latest formware update, as of 3/21/2011.
@djwhite2695 no you don't need ANY soundcard for the 6000, it has a 2in 2out soundcard built in that installs itself when you connect it to your computer, thats the beauty of it !
@abcdsz it's a great traktor controller, and yes you can send the output back to the computer for recording, or to the physical record output on the mixer.
hello from california!! great review man was very helpful said just about everything anyone would need to know. I did have a question on usuing the jogwheel to beatmatch.. u said u must hold shit and then touch the platter? or can u touch the sides in vinyl mode or something like that to have it work as well? cdj style. Thanks alot!
@albino3232 if you press down on the decks lightly that's seen as pausing the decks, but there is no platter on top of the jog wheel, it's one unit ( unlike a dn-s3700 for example ). So you can either use it for jogging with, or for slowing down / speeding up etc.
Thanks for taking the time to make this video. I've watched several on the MC6000, this is the best, with several good tips. Can't wait to get one of these.
@Cirdec1324 I will be doing another video shortly so will try and get spinbacks in there ! Never thought about the closeness of the eq knobs, so I guess that means they are ok !
Great review the best so far in youtube. Quick question i got the shift button part but dont understand or dont see the other one i have to press in order to control the jog wheels you said vynil backwards??? thanks
@fire197937 Below and to the left of the jog wheel are the two "Vinyl Bend" buttons ( backward and forward ). you want to press the "forward" button :)

my crossfader wont work for traktor, both channels just play no matter where the crossfader is. any tips?
jeza4646 5 months ago
At your pc, you can only see 2 decks. But the dn-mc6000 is a 4 channel mixer.
You have changed a setting or something?
mich2000222 6 months ago
@mich2000222 yes I 'm just using 2 channels for traktor, the other 2 are just acting as physical audio channels.
