I love this song because I was raised in rural Carolina and we often attended tent meetings. The sick were healed, the lamed walked, the blind were made to see, and the deaf to hear. I saw it with my own two eyes. People brought pot lunch. The meetings sometimes lasted for days.

my mother tells me that my first concert ever was neil diamond. she was pregnant at the time with me, and i've loved his music since i was a kid. and yet i just discovered this song a couple years ago.

and boy am i glad i did. it's now my favorite neil diamond song. so much charisma, such fervor, such...power, in the song. the lyrics, the performance...neil is the greatest.

I respect your opinion really, here's mine: I thought David A. is more talented & good @re-arranging songs etc..He can sing anyting. I like David Cook as well but I just don't see him singing Ballad, pop or R&B songs :{ when he sung ALW song you could still hear & see his style as a rocker, his voice is good too but still a Rocker to me. David A. still young, his voice & style will only get even better in yrs. to come :}

Been thinking that all this time as well about David Cook. I want him to win, he should, he is the most versatile talent wise. I think he can bring the house down with this song.
