This ia a great video. This car sat and wasnt appreciated for a while whether thru financial difficulty or whatever. It is still in restorable condition and since it was posted on youtube someone will restore her to her original beauty!
More like a "hurts" Olds, considering how much it hurts me to see one of my dream cars in that kind of shape... I hope someone rescues it the way I rescued my '79 Olds.
It seems that once in a while one of these monsters are found parked in someones driveway or back lot just going to waste. I saved one just like this, I wish I could save them all but I can't. Just don't understand why anyone would let such a rare car deteriorate. Must be one of those guys that every year tells you "Oh, it's not for sale, I'm going to restore it this year" Ya right, as the decades go by.
SICK Hurst/Olds!!!!! wow pleaseeeee sell it to me! I'd love to have 2! I have a 1983 Hurst/Olds, and i took out the stock 307 and put in a 455 that is bored .030 over so its a 461! Type in 1983 Hurst/Olds Burnout to see it =) . but seriously the interior is in such good condition you just need to get it repainted and its worth Soo much!
i'm holding back the tears, and the urge to punch the idiot who is letting this car languish, hope it's getting fixed up. only 912 models were made for 1969, wonder how many are even left including this one. all i can say is W T F ? ! ? ! ? ! ?
@dewey191994 you sure? Google 1969 Hurst Oldsmobile production numbers and hit up Olds FAQ via 442.com. This is the information I read, and this site is pretty reliable "...914 - (or 906 + 6 = 912) Cutlass Holiday 2-Door Hardtops and 2 Cutlass Convertibles were built."
I tried to buy one of these from behind a guy's house for many years, 10+ he just kept saying he was going to work on it over and over again....I even put a tarp on it that I bought because he just let it sit in the elements - snows here....he still would not sell....when it finally was rusted through and he decided that he was not going to work on it because it was too much work...he just let a scrap guy buy it....ridiculous...
Hard to come by one of these anymore. About 10 years ago I used to drive by an a run down warehouse. Parked along the side were a few beat up mid seventies early eighties cars that seen better days, and a 69 hurst olds in the same shape as this one. She was their for about 7 years. she vanished about 2 years ago along with the others. Hopefully not to the scrappers. Watching barrett jackson last year I saw a beautifully restored one snatch almost 90k. Hows your 442 doin?
Cool, Love it !!

I hope she found a good home. We've had our 69' Hurst Olds since 72' and would die if she got that bad.

@DJM442 Exactly right! The very first thought that came to my mind when I saw the condition of the paint on that car was: WTF?!
dks442 1 year ago
@DJM442 I couldn't agree more. Aside from the monetary value, that car and the brand are a part of automotive history and must be preserved as such.

@DJM442 exactly, what fricken idiot lets a car like that sit and rot?
