I think that Hiroki was just running too fast, and did't know that bed is going to end... no more ground under its feet and it fell.. i donno if u noticed, but it wasn't breathing at first in the groud, but suddenly it starts to breath again when i touch it. weird that it survived from that!

Poor little hamster, looked like it knocked itself out there. Does it still remember who you are? XD I used to have hamsters, but now I have rats. A lot smarter and likes to play with you instead of running away. All my hamsters fell at one point, not like that though, and they generally land of their feet, Hiroki must of been going to fast though. >.o Speedin' like a little dwarf hamster bullet! XD

Wasn't the kids fault the thing took a header off the bed. Hamsters never seemed to be very bright. Don't seem to have a handle on the dangers around them. Makes me wonder how they survived long enough to taken into captivity. My advice - get a puppy.

It was not the kid's fault no, they probably love their hamster very much.

But the hamster is not stupid, they have very poor eyesight and so can not judge distances of falls, it could have been just an inch, could have been 6 feet. Some hamsters will take the risk other won't. In the wild their habitats are mostly flat and they do not come across huge drops so they can rely on their sense of smell to get around at night. So, they survive very well.
