I have very thin hair, from straitening and teasing but I never did it often and found using mousse every day made my hair fall out! I still think its a good video and thanks for taking the time and sharing your technique :)

I used to do my hair like this too but it never lasted .. all that work and then like an hour later it was flat again, I dunno if yours is like that too .. but Kasey on here her YT name is stillglamorus, she does it a different way, I tried hers and it lasts all day! and its less work lol .. you should give it a try and see if it works for you too :-D

Try using a round brush with a root lifter and blow dry everything forward.... And then when it's dry, try and spray your hairspray farther away from the scalp, it's just going to matte it together and teasing combs work alot better than brushes:)

you suck, my hair is as thin as yours and that is the worst technique I've ever seen lol. Don't you know how to back-comb? Also you clearly need to use some kind of thickening product when your hair is wet, it's clear that you didn't use any of that as your hair is super flat (looks exactly like mine with no product in it). Use Fat Hair products, they are awesome. I use the thickening spray on my roots, then blow dry with large round brush, then spray ligthly at roots & backcomb. Then smooth

i also have a thin hair, this video is great, but you can't do this everyday, much hairspray and teasing, it's really damaging your hair.

my advise: use a hair protector before, or just braid your hair, use hairspray a bit, and leave it for 5 min. release, and voila!

Friggin awesome. once i bleached my hair blond, it took out the thickness of my hair by 90%. My hair is one layer like yours and as long as yours too. Its such a pain in the ass to style. But hey, thats the price you pay for that California girl hair!

Thanks for posting this. I keep looking for videos on what to do with having such very thin hair, and they're hard to find. I also have thin hair, so thin it looks like I'm balding because you can see my scalp through the hair. The only thing that works is colouring it blonde (I'm white). It strips the hair shaft making it look thicker. Layers are not always the answer. You did a really good job, and wish you'd post more like these. There's little out there for super thin hair.

Hair spray contains alcohol that dries out the shaft of you hair. You can find products that do not have alcohol like the non-aerosol kind. Make sure to moisturize/condition your hair after any build up appears from hairspray.

@audreylim84 I wish there was a miracle product that can promote hair growth. I've tried Rogaine and noticed very little results. Genetics plays a big role in the type of hair we have. A good diet and vitamins supplements is one of the key elements to having healthy hair.
