absolutely hilarious! nothing beats a great sense of humor. gotta love pickles and gabbers. they're always giving thile a hard time for his cheesy nickel creek days. those who know that can tell automatically that this was all in good fun.
@lexxite cheesy nickel creek days? ah. I loved Nickel Creek-- they absolutely inspired my musical tastes, and were fun to watch. Thats kind of his roots isnt it?
I love the punch brothers, but I would think that the guys would have more respect for Chris when he is performing with Nickel Creek. That can't do anything but stir up hard feelings, with Nickel Creek being split up and all.
It was pretty uncomfortable during this whole thing, and I couldn't even really see cuz I was sitting on the floor. I would have actually liked to have seen them play that again since it seems like we may not get that chance for a long time and that was such an awesome coincidence that they were there. Anyway sweet show, I think it's probably funnier when sara isn't actually there.
Although I think Gabe and Noam are two incredible musicians, that stupid display made me feel like slapping them across the face. seriously, wake the fuck up and stop acting like kids.
I hear it was all planned but I seriously doubt it after seeing this video. When Sarah says "I expected more out of you Gabe Witcher," that really made a big point.
I was at the show and spoke to Sara, Sean and Chris afterward - it was 100% scripted. They were all really proud of how well they pulled it off. I was completely convinced at the time, though. I thought Sean in particular was going to storm off the stage.
that was good, sara sounds so much better these days.

It's hillarious when at 2:26 Sara stops but Noam continues to the high part
This better have been scripted.

So what was going on here? Who was it "singing" along with them?
pheebee25 2 years ago
At first it's Noam "Pickles" Pikelny (the banjo player), later Gabe "The Judge/gabbers" Witcher joins in...
hahahahaha

I think Gabe and Sara's voices blend together perfectly. If he had been with Nickel Creek back in the day things might have ended differently.
