  • I'm a big fan of Neighbours but i must admit it was much better when it was on BBC1

  • 3:50

  • I started watching Neighbours at the end of 2005, when Alex Kinski died, but I didn't watch it straight from there. I would watch it for six months then stop for a few weeks then start again... but this year, I've been watching it everyday.........I would catch up when I'll miss it. Sonya, Jade, Kyle, Kate, Sophie, Toadie, Callum, Natasha and Micheal are my favorite characters!!! I would love to watch the old episodes like the 80's/90's to see how different to it is now. :)

  • Lol at the sheep. I wasn't around when these ones were on, the one now sucks. I started watching when Stingray died and some chick had a baby, does anyone one know what year that was? I'm thinking 2006ish, but I don't really know.

  • @SamiFindYou same here i hate the new eps and yeah it was around 2006

  • i started watching neighbours around 1991 good times.

  • lol 'check ups' now cost like 40 fucking dollars!

  • I swear I remember an opening when Scott Robinson (Darius Perkins) hits a baseball through a window.

  • @FabFM yeh i remember that one

  • @FabFM I remember one (circa '87) where Paul Robinson hits a cricket ball through a window....is that the one you mean? Think there are a few openings missing here :)

  • The last one is the pits

  • Neighbours was great from it's start until around 1995 then it just turned into rubbish. I watched it for the first time in about 15 years the other week and it was shocking. The characters were so much better back then and even some of the naff storylines.

  • @iamwhoiamwhoiammark2 Same goes for Home And Away, garbage now, both on Channel 5 which tells you everything really

  • @josssmith I stopped watching Home and Away when it went to Channel 5 because we don't get 5 on terrestrial TV where I live, watched it recently and yes it was rubbish

  • It's the naffest of the naff, but it has so many memories.

  • the first 2 opening is when i used to watch this program, BBC 1 (UK) 5:30pm every weekday if i'm not mistaken

  • lil girl wif plats at 1:49 is she still in it ?

  • susan looks weird with long hair, toady looks weird massive and with long hair. that is all.

  • who ever uploaded this Thankyou memories roXxx getting on now, nice to take a trip down memory lane, like im in that time again, teenager in 90's (early)

  • I saw Neighbours a few days ago and cringed. WHY do the scriptwriters feel the need to make it apalling? Even the the fact Paul Robinson is in it wasn't good enough! We aren't all teenagers with silly hairstyles that waft over our foreheads! I loved neighbours when it was a one-size fits all TV programme!

  • makes me long for Neighbours when it was good and not like a Oz version of Hollyoaks!

    Those credits are brill

  • What on earth are Helen and Debbie doing at 3.21?

  • @AlexxAlexander Over acting by the looks of it, god I love the glory days.

  • bring back joe mangle...for good!

  • I love watching soap Neighbours its the best soap ever :D my favourite characters are Susan, Karl, Libby, Steph, Lyn, Toadie, Donna, Ringo, Rebecca and Summer! :)

  • @torvillanddean100 tell me was zeke born into the show or did he just arrive randomly with another family? confused because he lives with the kennedys

  • @oliverjumelle When Susan and Karl split up Susan went out with this man called Alex Kinski who haves 3 children but not long after they was together Alex found out he was dying & Susan & Alex got married but not long after they got married Alex died!

Susan became step-mum to Zeke & Rachel Kinski but later on Susan & Karl became a couple again & they went to London & they both got married to each other & Karl became Zeke & Rachel's step-dad too!

  • @torvillanddean100 and katya kinski :)

  • @torvillanddean100 tell me was zeke born into the show or did he just arrive randomly with another family? confused because he lives with the kennedys

  • the titles from 1.08 - 4.38 are the best. love the theme tune

  • how times chnage

  • That Lance guy really was a bit of a bellend

  • No wonder Neighbours is having low ratings nowadays.

All the good characters are gone. Except for Paul, Susan, Karl and Lou

  • There was one where they played cricket in the street and the ball went through Mrs Mangel's window. I think Scott Robinson hit it.

  • OMGEE look at libby. I remember from the second BBC one. LOL at Toadie, fool!

    x

  • THE SHEEP!!.... I REMEMBER THAT!

  • FUck this is retareded. Characters have come and gone on the show

  • Omg Since When Is Toady's Name Toadfish?

  • oh henry...

  • OMG LMAO When Toady had long hair!

  • Ahhh... Neighbours was only good between 1991-1997 ish. I literally grew up with all those characters.

  • @pterobsven Same here... 1991 to 1997.

It picked up a lot in 2005, when all the old characters from that era returned. The show was in top form again until the end of 2006.

  • why did people watch this?

  • tv sure wastes you're life away.

  • Much love for neighbours :D !! so flippin nostalgic :3 , feeling a tad bit emotional !

  • Fucking hate my neighbours........

  • lol...produced by john holmes;)

  • Great Video my favorite neighbours is 1985-1987 as I am a old fashine TV show girl as I love The early Neighbours and Flying Doctors but great video

    RFDSfan (Kris-Nicole)

  • I miss the days of helen daniels and madge! bring back some of the older casts! not all new familys in it for a few years!

  • tyvm for uploading this

  • I hate Neighbours from 1997 onwards, the characters just became very generic, "babes in bikinis", borin characters,g and it gives me a headache thinking of it. I prefered the 90s when it had qurky characters like Cheryl, Cody, Ren, Mark and even Annalise was interesting with her interest in poetry over the regular "i look pretty, but nothing else" characters of today.

  • @guy2008rules Those 3 characters themselves were not especially bad, but what they chose to do with them, and the rest of the show along side them wasn't that appealing.

  • @goldengirlsben Totally true, I literally stopped watching it in about 1997. Every so often I'll come across Neighbours nowadays and watch it for a few minutes almost like I'm catching up with an old friend... and it's just pure shite!

  • OMG look at those tight jeans. Were popular in the 1980s I wonder why..... :)

  • Jesus. Those were the days!

I can't believe how awful Neighbours is these days! The theme tune itself is terrible!!! And the opening titles generally.

It saddens me that Neighbours is doing so badly now because of Susan Bower.

  • home and away or neibours tough 1 id av to say overall neibours but home and aways good the theme the area but neibours better cast

  • 1.34 is when it started to get sexy

  • gaybours

  • 2nd intro is the one I remember fondly! Scott, Charlene, Plain Jane Superbrain, Mrs Mangle and of course... Bouncer! Classic!

  • i love the old tune :)

  • because i want to ... just because i dont watch it now doesnt mean i didnt like it or anything!!!!!

  • I started watching this show i think 1999 when the last opening on this was shown, i stopped watching it in 2003

  • then why you on here commenting?

  • Comment removed

  • In what year(s) where Todd Landers and/or Jack Scully

  • Great titles tho I never liked them much from 1999 Onwards.

  • the kid on the bike throwin papers was the guy EVERY girls was in love with when i was at school! EWW...he's in HOUSE M.D now

  • who was the guy in the red at 1:37?

  • The guy in red is Bruce Samazan. Originally from E Street. And the butt of many many jokes from Aussie comedians! Poor bloke... hehe.

  • LOL i mean a guy like him thinking hes got a chance with them girls lol, poor guy

  • i stopped watching thi show as soon as dean guyer arrived in ramasy street. shudder.

  • i wasnt alive to see the golden age of neighbours but i know it was families like the ROBINSONS and MANGELS which turned it into TV gold. Fallen in love with austrailia, wish neighbours were like that over here in the UK lol. we have eastenders which is kind of a dysfunctional version of neighbours lol

  • I loved this show in the 1980s! Daphne, Des, Helen, Jim, Madge, Scott, Charlene, Mrs Mangel, Eileen... bliss!

  • I never realised how similar Amy and Didge look until now.

  • i like the 2nd short one & the 'power ballad' like one at the end!!...ahhh good ol' neighbours when it was good with the WHOLE original kennedy family!!!! don't watch it now though

  • kool

  • really fab collection of clips, brought back loads of memories. second opening theme was always my favourite

  • Superb collection

  • 2nd one is the best. not too much

  • cool, nice collaboration

anyone know the kids at 2:06?

  • Hannah and Billy!

  • Brilliant!

  • I like the 2nd theme song the most. The ones after that just got too remixed for my taste. Those would make sense for special episodes or whatnot but not the regular ones.

  • I'd do Libby.

And Susan when she was younger. She has this Carol Vorderman- type vibe.... hot.

  • Which one. I prefer the temporary one recently .

  • lmao check out toadies quality hair style...

  • Awh Helen!!

Look at Madge and Harold, hahaha!!

    God I love this show.

  • Louise was Lou and Cheryls daughter. Cheryl died in as car crash and it came to light lou wasn't the natural father

  • haha, catch the paper Lou, you fool!

  • who was louise????

  • harold has to be the oldest (as in been there the longest character

  • Harold was in it from the beginning.

  • nah, he came in, in 1987

  • The Oldest Is Paul

He Was In The Very First Episode

No One Else Who Is In It Now Was

    :]

  • Neighbours, everybody needs good neightbours, thats when good neightbours become........ when good neightbours become, good friends

  • Ramsay Street is the place to be!

  • The theme song went from good too BAD, and i do mean bad, after 98. Why must they screw up every good theme song with remixes. I dont like the newer Home and way openings either, they flat out suck. Bring back the original Neighbours opening theme, and the original Home and away theme.

  • It's almost like they didn't have time for Lance lol

Wasn't there a credit opening with Lolly going down the slide and Darren catching her?

  • There not showing every one because the 1980's one was after Daphne's death. Its just a gist of each style

  • I remember a time when there was only me and my best friend at school that watched neighbours, then all of a sudden, everyone realised how good it was! Love the title sequences, good memories.

  • This is an excellent compilation of all the Neighbours opening credits, yet I always say Neighbours was at its peak in the 90s, the 90s was when it had the greatest story lines, interesting characters, greatest theme music of course and managed to keep that "neighbourhood" vibe. I still watch Neighbours today yet I feel it has lost that vibe, the story lines are basically repeating themselves, it's not as dramatic and it has the worst theme music, that rocky-type music doesn't fit the theme.

  • Neighbours and Home & Away are on the same godamn channel now... TV has gone downhill.

  • yea, but over here they r on different channels

  • ios mage now in emmerdale

  • Nice job

  • Great collection of openings.. thanks for uploading :)
