@cbass3789 your a dipshit. the observations ppl make from the outside are hilarious. the USA and its allies have programs where they send their instructors to each others countries in order to learn and share what they know. when i was in i had two members from belize, an army ranger, a korean marine, and royal marine in the same Squad leaders course i was in. they were all actually very nice ppl and learned a lot from each other and our experiences.

watching that video I could not help but notice that there was a Royal Marine PT1 (Physical Training Officer first class) at the training facility. I am a Brit and I feel that this shows how much trust there is between our two marine forces.

Officer Candidate School is completely separate from Boot. It is a different option for those who are on their way to completing or have completed a college degree and wish to serve as Officers in the Marine Corps. Some people go into OCS after boot camp and their other training on the enlisted side, but many go into OCS in the summer of their junior year or after college.

you drop your packs after the Crucible and form up in front of the Iwo Jima monument near the parade field. Only Marines are present when the EGA is handed out.

Its not until a week later that they meet their parents for the first time in 13 wks as Marines

I graduated O.C.S this past Summer. I commission this May after I graduate college. Hopefully at TBS, I will earn a slot within the '03' military occupational specialties. I can't see myself doing anything else.

Leading Marines will be the greatest honor and privilege that will ever be granted to me and probably my whole life.
