This song and arrangement would have been impossible 1 1/2 years earlier and 1 1/2 years later. Only in 1930 could such a song have been written and recorded.

Too staid for the late 20's; and too lushly romantic for the middle 1930's; and in 1931 and 1932, they stopped making movie musicals.
