Lost writers have never let concepts of their seasons and spoilers leak just like that. I have been pretty active on some Lost forums, and for 5 seasons, only few guesses turned out to be true and they were ever major. One of them being mine, about black smoke being some sort of "judge" for the people on the Island. So, if you think you guessed what's going to happen, you can be 99% sure you're wrong. Because that's how they write and direct Lost and all their promo material.

The extended scene to this is on the season 5 dvd set, and Faraday goes into it a bit more.

I dont know how the hell the writers are going to work mboth scenarios, the alt timeline and the 2007 island timeline, but this is why they write LOST and we dont!! LOL

I agree with what SEEL5 says.Also it IS possible if we are talking multiverse/alternate timelines.Not the SAME timeline being altered,but a whole new timeline created by an action of the variables(people) .All i can assure you is we will be seeing 815 landing safely, but its some curve ball the writers are throwing at us to twist our minds and the real story will be the island in 2007 and the war with Jacob and MIB etc.

Your idea of "many worlds" in Lost is pointless,since there would be no such thing as "real story" - all of those stories would be real. Multiple worlds with multiple stories about multiple characters would open a huge number of questions, so that would never be a good way to wrap anything up. It would just be too much. It's been said that despite everything, Lost sticks to this world and reality.
